I towed the M819 for about 30 miles with an M818. Slow speed and white knuckles the whole way. It went well but it could have gone bad in a blink of an eye.

The old vent line does not need to be capped off. If you just want to keep dust out of it, in case someone wants to put it back to original someday, just slide the nut up the line and use a rubber cap(vacuum line accessory) or a piece of rubber hose with a bolt in the end of it.
