for the time being get some reman batterys, stay cheap till its running, you can always get some good ones later,i ran two blem megatrons in my old m52 gasser, there was more then enough crank.the same set was still in the truck when it went(about 3 years)
thank you, the data plate on the compresser deuce shows m44, 5000 isnt to bad, there was one i tkink in calia. that had a multi and od trans , the asking was 7500?
if you want to add a winch on the rear, why not tap into your hyd. that power the crane, and hyd, drive the rear winch. i think thats what im going to do to my 819, put a rear winch in the frame under the fifth wheel
at first there was no wrecker in the 2 1/2t reo truck line,(relying on the 5t wrecker) the 108 was origanaly deseigned as a bomb handling truck, but it was found that it made a SUPER light duty
wrecker, so then the m60 was developed
instead of scraping a towbar , just take a black iron pipe and ues it as a extision, one that fits over the inner towbar piece, and a smaller piece to fit in that extsion that would fit in the outer towbar piece, this what was done in nam when we made a frames, we even drilled holes in the two...
looks like the old gin pole set up thats been used on front or rear mounted winches, it would be easy to make one, paint it green and nobody would know the difference, we had a bunch of shop built ones in nam, thay were probley better then the military kits
the gage should be AFTER the filters, this gives the working pressure to the engine, if it goes down a bit at a time its the filters, all at once its the pump
