The injectors had never ben touched by me till I pulled them to pop test. For all I know, they were in there since 1975. It matters not recommended milage if you don't know the last time they were serviced!
220 - 221, whichever gets it done.
Personally I'd go with the 2 hole. You might want to pull them all and have them pop tested. I was amazed how bad mine were when I did it.
The single hole work fine, they just make the exhaust a little smoky in comparison.
That fuel pump has a shaft that goes all the way through the IP. Its no fun.
Just attack putting the nut in KNOWING its going to suck and need patience. Plan on spending 2 hrs on it and I bet it goes quicker than you think.
If something needs to come off, it will be the whole IP(sorry man).
The A3 rims are whats known as an MPT style rim. 395s will work ok on them.
You don't want to use an MPT tire on a regular rim though! It has to do with the seating of the sidewall bead. I'm sure Gerhard will be along shortly with one of his diagrams. I know I've seen him post it before!
Got a welder?
Find a nut(as in nut and bolt) about the size of the bolt.
Weld it to the broken bolt through the center of the nut.
After its not red hot, turn the nut.
The heating and shrinking usually frees up said broken bolt.
Glad to hear your truck is running better Al!
A while back (I think) fordmechanic postred about his huge improvement when he put new injectors in his deuce. At the time I was finishing up headgaskets on my deuce. I had already put a new turbo and injection pump on, so i figured I'd try...
Bruce good to see you posting again. Tan looks good and doesn’t burn your arm when you rest it on the door (as much) but the paint gets marked up real easy and God forbid you put a tire in the bed, you'll never get the black marks off it.
Crap, well if your back, I'M leaving!
Just kidding bro, nice truck. Looks real complete, but if you need I have a co-drivers side storage box brandy new!
I know you can't resist new crap.
So while waiting for the second shift to show up, i swapped the leads from high to low at the bulbs. Now they don't fade out BUT, the high beam indicator is on when the low beams are on.
Wtf?
No need to go directly to battery as we verified vvoltage at the wire.
I just got my Findlay spot invoice. Time to post up whatcha got!
