    M923A1 Oil Change Intervals

I am not a fan of mixing Synthetic oil in an engine that has mostly seen plain petroleum based oil. 15w40 is usually sufficient in most climates. Straight 30w or 40w if hot and never sees cold weather. Most HD fleet oil is typically 15w40. My rig Does not see much service and I converted to a...

What is everyones thoughts on the IBIS TEK medium duty tow bar?

personally, I don't like them. There were many used ones surplused through GL and I saw several ones snapped. I had a good one in my hands and seemed too light for my non engineering brain to accept. Company bit the dust so no support either. you don't see medium bars snapped out there.........

    Harris Falcon III - RF7800M-V51X

Very few have been released to the public or sold as surplus in the USA. I Suspect you would get a premium price here as a display for a collector but you also have tariffs to deal with imposed by you know who.....

    2 winch dilema- Solved!

Look on here as someone adapted the oe set up to accept dual hoses. I remember reading it when I was thinking of doing dual but went another direction. Nothing oe has both winches. Oring ports and metric If I remember correctly will be tricky more than older std flare.

New HMMWV M1097R1 Guy Has Questions

Yes, it is a tradional Saginaw gm pump but pressure boosted up. I would recommend the oe pump from a reputable military parts dealer. Many have tried using a gm pump and very unhappy. Nothing oe gm has the hydraulic fan clutch, hydroboost, and possible hydraulic winch so you will not find the...

New HMMWV M1097R1 Guy Has Questions

Yes, but weird things happen with them. A few millennia ago, a hmmwv with an antenna tuner still mounted on the rear right fender got sold to a member here. Not sure if it works but he sold it it to me with all the cables and mounts knowing I wanted it for a "display" and not to flip. I could...

New HMMWV M1097R1 Guy Has Questions

One of the cables to the top front trays radio mount, I think is the power cable and probably still Hot and connected to power shunt. I would remove. Usually all this stuff is removed at demill before being sold.

New HMMWV M1097R1 Guy Has Questions

The front trays are for radios and the top has a radio mount. Bottom right is a speaker. Middle front is another speaker of a different kind. Mount on rear tunnel looks like another radio mount. Wires on rear fender, one is for an antenna. All this stuff has little use in civy world. Some...

That was 8 years ago. They were scrapping USMC units and were allowed to remove some items for resale. All this stuff is long long ago gone. You can check in Wilmington Delaware not too far from battleship exhibit.

    M931 tractor mirrors

They are common civy parts at a truck pro or napa if you are ok with black instead of tan or green. Long one is known as a westcoast mirror. If you need brackets. That is a different critter and are military only.

    Replacement Bolts and Fasteners

Tractor supply has grade 5 that are painted green You buy by the lb. Grade 8 zinc also by the lb. Cheapest fasteners I have found. They also have nylon lock nuts in bulk. Not sure how much the trump tariffs have increased price but worth it if you have one in your area.
