    MEP-804B filters

Go grab the TMs and the Lube order from the manuals section, but short answer is 6 qts 15-40 with filter change, 5 qts with out filter change.

MEP 804B suddenly cranks but won't start

TLDR I bought it cause I could. :p now I'm off to find a spot to hide stuff so She Who Must Be Obeyed (SWMBO since this a military geared forum) doesn't catch on to how expensive my new little hobby actually is.

MEP 804B suddenly cranks but won't start

Never mind, I'm a dipstick. I went out this morning and let it prime for over a minute, hit the preheat because it was a little chilly, and she fired right up. Let it come up to temp and shut it down. Maybe I've got a small leak in the fuel system and it's loosing prime. I'll just keep and...

MEP 804B suddenly cranks but won't start

I found a set of instructions Guyfang had posted on testing the A-5 and it talks about doing a resistance and VAC check on the A-5. It says A models at the top, but I know I read somewhere the B models use the same A-5. Does anyone know if the testing holds up?

MEP 804B suddenly cranks but won't start

9/2011 39 hours on this unit. Got all the filters changed, fuel and oil drained, batteries charged. Two weeks ago it started up and idled fine 3 different times. Never hooked up a load, just tinkering after the filter changes. Ordered a MOD to put in place between terminals 10-11. MOD...

    MEP-804B filters

Just because I had to hunt, cross reference, order, find out I ordered the wrong one, etc, here is most of the filters for a 804B with Yanmar in it that will definitely fit. Air filter-Napa Gold Auto Filter (2489) Oil filter-Carquest 85334,Komatsu YM129150-35153, Yanmar 129150-35152 all work...

Pulse Charge Monitor Distribution System (PCMDS) NSN: 6130 01 510 9587/ Part No. 735x650 Bought one brand new off ebay, everything in the box. Put it on my genset following the directions, but I'm not getting the blinking red LED inside the gray distribution box. I called the manufacturer and...

    MEP 804A filters

Not to be a necromancer on an old post, but don't make the same mistake I did from searching the forum and finding this thread. The filters are not interchangeable to an 804B. At least the NAPA Gold 1330. It's way too big for the Yanmar

    2011 MEP 804B fuse/resister MOV mod ?

Awesome kloppk, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge. Just for future people looking for MEP-804B MOV mod info I've attached a picture of the 802/803 mods and the 804B mod. Hopefully I got it right. I saw that terminals 10/11 were addressed here, but never confirmed...

    2011 MEP 804B fuse/resister MOV mod ?

Guyfang, thanks for the input. May I ask where the MOV should go on the 804B? I have a voltage regulator but I don't find anything labeled "quad" like the first picture of someone's 803. I've attached pics of my TRC voltage regulator and then what the TM calls a diesel engine governor. (TM...

    2011 MEP 804B fuse/resister MOV mod ?

Would the same apply to a 804B then? Or is it not affected the same way the other models are? Or unknown right now? I'm just going off of reading on here and seeing the fuse and holder on the left side of the regulator, so it looks like half the problem was addressed by the factory by 2011...

    2011 MEP 804B fuse/resister MOV mod ?

Ahh...thank you for the info. I like extra insurance, gives me a fuzzy feeling. Maybe someone will chime in with thoughts on my particular machine.

    2011 MEP 804B fuse/resister MOV mod ?

Sorry for asking this but my head is swimming about this. I have a 2011 804B with 39 hours from Fremont with a TRC regulator. There is a fuse installed on the left side but do I need to put the MOV too? I've read so many posts and TM's I'm confusing myself at this point. Most of the threads...

    804B slow fuel drain

Nothing to report. I looked down in the fuel tank through the fill neck (after removing the strainer) and all I saw was nice looking fuel. I exercised both valves on the line and blew into it again. I heard it coming through fine. I'm just going to but new filters in and see what happens.

    804B slow fuel drain

I have not. I will do so when I get home in about an hour and report back. The fuel that is coming out looks and smells fine at least. Big forest delivered some filters today so maybe I can spin off the one on the side and peek in there too. (This is so much fun, why did I wait to start?)

    804B slow fuel drain

Started working on an MEP-804B with 39 hours on a M200 trailer recently. Just starting this new addiction with gen sets and been reading a lot. Doing pre start maintenance and the gauge shows 3/4 tank fuel. Which was odd since the oil had been drained. Anyhoo, put a fitting and hose into my...

    MEP-016D fuel bowl filter

O.M.G. I am an idiot. Thank you Guyfang. I was looking right at the fuel pump and didn't even see the bottom comes off. The output fitting was hiding it from my perspective. The thick layer of green paint doesn't help, but I'm going to use your excuse of I'm just getting old.
