    Well I followed SS's recomendations for fixing my air shift problem with the deuce. Thanks for all of your advice. I ordered the repair kit and just like someone said when I pulled it apart some military mechanic put the piston in backwards. Put the new kit on, which was very small quarters...

    Adding Detroit Lockers???

    Sounds like your thinking like me...I want all six digging. If it aint spinnig then its doing no good. I wasn't planning on new axles I was hoping one could just add a detroit locker diff and keep everything else stock.

    I was wondering just how difficult it is to add lockers on a M35a2. Is it a matter of just pulling out the axle shafts, removing the diff, put the ring gear on the new diff and reasemble or are we talking things being pressed on and needing all types of special tools??

    Yeah I worked on it a little and there is very little room. I pulled the top cover plate off the piston to make sure it was not stuck, everything looked fine and the piston did move, but your right, very tight quarters...

    On my duece when I activate the air shift the air bleeds pass the piston and vents out the top of my transfer case. Are there seals or o rings on the piston that would allow the air to pass bye? Any suggestions as to the cause of this problem?

    M35 air shift problem

    Looking for some assistance on my duece. When I engage the air shifter it does not engage, however, I can feel air coming out from the top of the transfer case which I assume is a bleed valve at the top of the case. My guess is that air is by passing the piston and just dumping into the case...
