    Made it home with my new 1009

    congrats, the military may deem them a failure. But everyday I am more and more impressed with my M1009. When I die they can bury me with mine.

    Tire size/ transmission wear question

    I have 315/75/16 on my M1009 with the 3.08 gears, I do not know if the pump has been turned up. I have great pick up and no problem cruising down the freeway. But I'm switching to 3/4 tons soon. Imo you'd be fine with 33's..

    Hazard Light Switch

    You do not want to cut the wires you will lose turn signals and brake lights as all run through the turn signal switch behind the steering wheel. sometimes you need to push the button for the hazzard button in and out a few times to get the switch back to the netural postition. if I remember...

    motor mount install

    Thanks for the info. I removed my mounts and fought for 3 or 4 hours. I got the 84up mounts. needless to say they didnt fit. Mounts 1 - Me 0. I ran the part numbers, I came up with the mounts for a 305-350, Does that sound right???

    Low Oil Indicator

    You could use the sensor from the mid 80-90's fords. My F-150 and Ranger both have them. you would need the sensor and a weld-in bung. And of course a idiot light.

    Problem this morning, need help.

    If the hot lead to the starter is hot at the buzz bar but has no voltage at the starter, then you found your problem. Your hot lead is bad. You probably have a break in the wire. Over time, vibration and age will cause that problem. If your mulitie meter has contonuity you can test it. Granted...
