    Injector rebuild?

So the Deuce is in the shop right now. They're asking about $700 to rebuild the injection pump. After I got over the initial shock of that, I figured I'd ask the question. Should I have them rebuild it? Should I look for a re-manufactured/rebuilt one online? Those don't seem to be much different...

    What is the "HH"?

    insurance for a m35a3 la

Those are some cheap premiums. I'm 27, never any at-fault wrecks and I pay $400/yr for full coverage.

    Rear Main

I'm having a similar issue with a leaky rear main seal and I'm trying to find all the specs for the clearances, crankshaft end play, etc. so I'll be able to check everything/replace anything once the tranny and the bottom half of the engine are apart. Where can this info be found? I've been...

Geico was a piece of cake, they knew exactly what it was and I was insured in about 10 minutes.

    3116 Oil Pressure Help

UPDATE: So I picked up a mechanical oil pressure gauge today and hooked it up to the engine. It read 35 psi at start and then over the course of 25 minutes idling the gauge slowly dropped to 14 psi. Which is more or less what the small gauge in the dash does. So is low oil pressure just "Deuce...

First Deuce -- Rear Main Seal

Is this mechanical gauge something I can get at an AutoZone? How does it attach to the motor?

First Deuce -- Rear Main Seal

In an effort to keep multiple similar threads at a minimum I figured I'd post here. From all the other leaky rear main seal threads I've read, I'm assuming most of you would assume that it's a bad rear main seal if it's coming out of the hole at the bottom of the bell housing, correct? I...

    Front axle boot repair

So, dumb question, it's not supposed to be split like that? I'm in AZ so this thing won't be going through a swamp or anything like that anytime soon but I'd like to get ahead of the repair curve while she's still in rather good shape and I have time to learn before stuff starts going wrong with it.

    3116 Oil Pressure Help

Could a bad rear main seal cause low oil pressure? I'm trying to put the puzzle pieces together. My oil pressure gauge has always read low but it would move according to RPM. Recently though it sits at almost nothing, topping out around 10-15 psi when I'm up to road speed. I also have a leak I...

    Front axle boot repair

I don't have the one-piece boots apparently? I wasn't familiar with these and at first I thought they were busted since there was grease coming out where it's split but that's normal? Or am I just wishfully thinking?

    Air Compressor Air Cleaner Element?

Hey Heavysteven is that picture after you cleaned it? Mine looks like it was dunked in WMO and then baked in an oven. I don't think it'll clean up much. Is there a way to find out what it's made out of and maybe I can start searching for a good replacement? With how few hours this truck had when...

    Uses for Deuces

I mostly show her off. And help everyone and their mother move. I took her to some car shows, they had no idea what to do with her but they loved it. I had to pull my camaro out of a dirt road-turned-wash once, she didn't even notice the weight. I take her to church since it's a longer drive and...

So I was sitting at a red light...

I haven't been hit yet, knock on wood, but I've had so many close calls I am convinced the morons they allow behind the wheel these days don't ever see me. Why did they ever retire the Deuce if it's so invisible?! We could send em to war and drive right up to the enemy, they'd never see us...

    Air Compressor Air Cleaner Element?

Has anyone found a place to get just the small air filter that sits on the side of the air compressor? I found the whole housing for sale but I only need the cleaner element. Or perhaps a good imposter might work too but I took the original to my truck shop to see if they had something similar...

    I miss my deuce!

The funny thing about going to Afghanistan is that the thing I miss most, aside from a hot shower, is my deuce! I wasn't expecting to miss her this much. She should be ok if a friend is running her every weekend, right? There's still one old deuce rolling around out here that I've seen, I'll try...

    Interesting question from the DMV

After all the research I did and talking to people and hearing horror stories about government morons screwing MV guys over, I was prepared with every lie, fib, side story and tall tale I could think of to get me through the registering/insuring nightmare. Its a jeep, a farm truck, a hummer...

How do you justify a Deuce to a wife/gf?

I guess I was lucky, I bought my zombie rig after the divorce so I had no problem getting it home. Started seeing this new girl a few weeks ago, asked her if I could pick her up for a date in it. She was thrilled. She couldnt get over how much attention it gets. She wants to ride in it all the...

    Lockout lube

The front end is spinning even when youre not in 4X4 so lockouts replace the hubs so the front wheels can freewheel and cause less wear and tear on the axle/front diff. I havent gotten mine on just yet but people also tell me it makes it easier to steer/drive.
