I just put a used injector pump on my deuce and as soon as I got the air bled, it cranked and went to full throttle, and I shut it down with the engine stop cable. but as soon as you crank the engine it goes to wide open throttle. I believe the governor is stuck at wide open, how can I fix this?

I've had good luck with running tractor transmission/hydraulic fluid, in auto transmissions, it can take much more heat before it starts to break down and it won't foam up, it also is much grabbier than most fluid, It is made to run in big power shift tranmissions in scrapers front end loaders...

I didn't lose the plunger I put everything back together and it still seeps fuel and misses, do you know if there is supposed to be a washer type gasket on the bolt, because I don't have one on the bolt and no matter how tight I get the bolt it still leaks. Thanks

Well today I rigged up a working fuel pump to the truck and I got a good amount of fuel pressure to the injector pump and the truck is still missing, Could the hydraulic head be the cause of the missing, but wouldn't it miss at all rpm, I'm stumped,

I have been looking for a decent 5 Ton for a while with a Mack engine and I found a M54A1 with 31,000 miles and 923 hours that runs and drives and looks straight for $4500 is this a decent price?
