Not sure, tach quit working, I looked back at a pic. I took after I did the HH and that shows 500 not sure if that is right, cable may have been dry and dragging, and it final quit. I read a post that said the two screws that are safety wired in the throttle rod housing could be too tight...

Deuce starts easy idles fine let off throttle dies but restarts right away

Back in 2016 my deuce would not start, after researching here, and help from a member here I pulled the HH and found the clip off the plunger, nothing seemed bent or broken, put all back together and truck started right up but I did notice that when you would bring up off idle with the throttle...

installing new pressure plate in need of torque specs for the bolts

I'm don't know these type clutches, but I would go by the size of the bolt, both dim. and grade if you can see on the head. You can find a standard torque chart on line and use that as a guide, would not be going too tight that would worry about snapping any, yet should be tight. I always use...

I.P. Hyd. head and fuel shut off question

Today was a good day, pulled Hyd. Head, found that the clip just came off and the button fell off. Clip was not broken or twisted, snapped back on and seemed to have all three prongs clipped on. Had two out of the six injector lines fight me, had to work them back and forth, spray them, work...

I.P. Hyd. head and fuel shut off question

Figured that on my way down to the shop I would stop at AutoZone and pick up a can of carb. cleaner, have atf and other oils at work. Figure I have plenty of time tomorrow to clean up parts.

I.P. Hyd. head and fuel shut off question

Up date, Pulled fuel shut off shaft out Thur. after work, got a co-worker to watch the mark while I turned the jackshaft. worked out well, now all set to pull the Hyd. head by my self on Sat. I.P. Hyd. head and fuel shut off question

Hopefully I will be doing it this weekend, don't want to leave it apart too long, that's why I'd like to be prepared to go back together. I read about this wedge coming off the pin on the end of the fuel shut off rod and being careful, just not sure where it can go. I mean does it drop off...

I.P. Hyd. head and fuel shut off question

Have read several post on the subject, and it does sound like it, but I thought I'd ask. The thing that I don't get is this truck always started right up and ran like a champ, drained the fuel out, knew was going to be parked for awhile. then it won't start. Could see if it quit while running...

transfer case and trans for flat tow

O.K. both in neutral, I thought I read some where that the transfer in neutral and the trans in some gear, but was not sure. I didn't want to pull axles for the short trip but do not need to damage drive line parts. Thanks for the reply.

transfer case and trans for flat tow

I am going to have my deuce towed by the towing co. that tows our over the road tractors and the easiest way for him to do it would be to use the wheel lift and pick up the front end. My question is for about a six mile trip, on a state route at no more then 40 MPH what should the trans. and...

    Steel Brake Lines

The alloy tubing that our friend from the UK is talking about is DOT approved for use in the US. It is some what pricey but is very flex able and last very well in even harsh weather. There is a distrubtor for the stuff in MA. that deals it on line, not sure if local parts houses handle it.

Mondovi MI to central PA area !!!

If you still need this hauled. PM me for a number of a trucking co. out of Lancaster Pa that gets to MI a good bit and might have some room on a trailer coming back. I would not know anything about the rate, but if you could come down to Lancaster to pick up might help on the cost.

    Cannibalized while waiting for EUC!

After reading all 90 post I think Nonotagain had the problem nailed. Just like people at you pull junk yards grabe "a few little things" there are some people who when at a GL lot think "a few little things" are theres for the picking, WRONG but it only takes a few with this mentality to screw...

    New guy from PA

It all depends on what you will be doing with your truck, antique tags in Pa. are restrictive as far as every day driving, and hauling. You can't haul anything and you are only aloud to drive to shows, parades, and club events, and occasional use that the state defines as once a week. But unless...
