    Help please misfiring M35 multifuel.

I tried revving the truck and with no load the missfire is at the same revs so I wondered if there was a governor or rev limiter as I would have thought fuel starvation would only be an issue under load. M

    Help please misfiring M35 multifuel.

Missfiring. Hi I removed the tank and cleaned it out although it was pretty clean. The pump looks like new. There were 2 pieces of metal lying in the bottom of the tank. They looked as if they fitted on the bottom of the pump but they did not fit it! Egg shaped with a cut out in the middle that...

    Help please misfiring M35 multifuel.

Hi Just dropped the filters. Primary had some water, first secondary was half full of muck and second not a lot better. Will clean tank and then flush and renew. I think this predates me as I filter and water trap all my fuel before it goes in. Thanks for the help guys. M

    Help please misfiring M35 multifuel.

Hi We have just attended the War and Peace show in the UK. On the way home the truck was badly missing intermittently and lacking power. It also stalled at tickover a few times. It would then surge for a while and then slow down again. The previous owner had problems with the in tank pump but...

Deuce brake light switch is mia

Hi There was no switch connected when I bought my truck so I have fitted a switch from a motorcycle rear brake. It is actuated by a spring which is pulled when the brakes are applied. I secured the switch with a home made bracket to a hole in the chassis. Seems to work OK. M

    Punctures

Hi I don't have the option of a call out and recall that when we had a DUKW a wheel change took about an hour, which is a long time on a narrow British road! M

    Punctures

Hi Has anyone any experience of using pre or post puncture repair 'fluid' or repair outfits? Some suggest large holes can be fixed at the roadside to avoid a hazardous wheel change. Also, if the vehicle is only lightly loaded is it OK to take a rear dual off and put on the front to get you home...

    Help with advanced search please

Hi I seem to be in a catch 22 situation here. I am trying to use the advanced search feature and cannot enter a keyword to look for! That means I can't search for help on how to do it!!!! I looked at an M109A3 yesterday and need to know where I can get decent front rubber boots and wiper...

    I'm back (nearly)

RE: astute people Thanks. I like the darker version. Please can anyone advise me the thickness of the wood strip between the body and the chassis and the distance from the top of the tyre to the top of the wheel arch. I have got to have the fixing brackets made up and I also want to get the...

    I'm back (nearly)

RE: astute people Hi I have already arranged for it to go to a yard where we can do the required lifting. They can get a large FLT in for the purpose. Still not decided on the paint scheme. M

    I'm back (nearly)

Because it's common rail I have to use pump diesel and wouldn't want to take a chance. They are brilliant cars, the diesel is doing 2500 rpm at 70mph which is the same as my V12 Jags did. Regarding 'size' you are so right. The ultimate 'phallic' symbol is a 'people carrier' full of your kids.I...

    I'm back (nearly)

Hi Mine is a diesel. I'm told one of only 6 diesel Cabrios in the UK. It is left hand drive and develops 42bhp from an 800cc turbo it whistles like a very mini Reo!.The smallest common rail engine you can get. I was talking to a guy who gets 112mpg if he sticks to 55mph or so on a motorway! They...

    I'm back (nearly)

Ha Ha! The 'battery box' is brilliant with fuel at £1.23 a litre! Ie $10 a gallon. It does between 60 and 80 mpg. Will reach 85mph (where allowed) . It's a bit of a transition driving one after the other. M

    I'm back (nearly)

Hi I have just agreed to buy my old truck back. It's an M35 converted to an M109. Should be delivered in a couple of weeks. The body was placed on the load bed so it's all coming off and will be replaced properly. Not decided on the paint but am thinking three colour. Any suggestions for the...

    Book on Deuce?

Hi In fact my old M35 converted to M109 is pictured and spotted as a conversion by the author. Taken at Beltring a few years ago. M

    M35 to M109

Hi It's a bit complicated. The van body is already on the truck but resting on the loadbed. Thus it is too high and heavy.I want to remove the van, then the bed and then replace the van! There is a welded strip around the base so I cannot see what is underneath until we cut and lift it off. Then...
