I agree on the air leak but I haven't replaced the filter. In fact, before I started just random tightening of anything, I thought I'd seek the wisdom of the hive.
If I leave it on flat ground over night it lights with just a bump of the starter, but if it's just slightly nose up, it takes forever to reprime. Can't see any visible leaks in the fuel lines. Anybody else run into something similar?
Installed Battery Relocation Kit. That was a job for just one soldier.
Whew! Glad it's done.
Next is the air ride seat install. Seems I need a regulator to drop the air pressure before I begin that one. I bought two so the Wife, my Queen would be happy with the ride quality.
Howdy all,
Searched several threads on the exact fluid capacity of the allison trans and got some great info, but no one ever listed the actual capacity or the amount they used to fill it back up after a drain. Any ideas?

Thanks for the info boys, it is helpful. I know the IP is not gummed up because when the Solenoid "thumps" and drives the IP lever it will run and mine does but only very very sporatically. So, I'm thinking back to the master switch. I have turned the switch to the "Run" position and...
I have a MEP-016E that turns over and won't start. The electric fuel pump and the solenoid that controls the throttle will only work very intermittently. Since the machine was converter to the yanmar engine, it doesn't appear to have worked because the oil in it is golden clear like it was...
I switched the two pumps. they are the same, both electric. I did not pull off the bottom but did notice that it was removeable. However, prior to the switch, I had the throttle actuator throwing itself wide open when you moved the switch to run on the panel. Now, it does nothing. I checked the...
I was able to start it last night by wiring a couple of car batteries in series. As soon as I hooked the jumper cables up you could hear the fuel pump clicking and it cranked and ran for about 4-5 min then kicked the DC Circuit breaker on the gauge panel. When pushing it in to reset it, it would...
Howdy boys,
I just acquired a MEP-016b with a brand new dead battery so I'm in "no start" mode. Until I can secure a new battery, can I crank it with the pull start? Making a few attemps it seems that not having the electric fuel pumps running will be a problem. Any suggestions/ideas appreciated.
Thank you for your kind words and prayers. The Bible says that we that beleive on Christ are all part of His Royal Priesthood. So, I find myself surrounded here by a host of great men and women.
Be very careful with sanding or sandblasting. The CARC paint on that truck has a lot of similarities with spray in bedliner coatings. It is very tough and durable but is full of isocyanites which can cause all kinds of respiratory, nervous sytem and cancer problems if you inhail the dust.

I've been to gray rock twice. Both times I went to rock crawl with my jeep. The first trip, I hauled my jeep in back of the deuce. There are several trails called "bunny slopes" that a deuce could navigate. The area is large as it is owned by a guy who owns the adjacent rock quary. Some trails...
I had a non turbo. It ran faster without the turbo than it did after I converted it. Now I have a pyrometer that I drive by to avoid a catastrophic melt down without prior warning. Before the conversion, it was just wide open throttle.
I really enjoyed the smoke, especially on notable...
