Well, if you want to come get it, I can hang on to it for a while. If anyone on here wants it but doesn't know when, all I need is a small security deposit and it'll stay here for as long as need be.
Hey guys
Well, that day has come...I hate to do it...
I need to sell my '52. It's relatively complete, but has some major issues. I'll be scrapping the remnants, but for the love of the vehicle, I'm willing to take off any parts any of ya'll need for your trucks or just spare parts. Here's...
How many different turbos did these trucks come with? And is there an easy way to tell just from the tag which one I have? We have a C turbo (the whistler), a D turbo (non-whistler), and this Schwitzer. Since it came on the 427, might it be considered an A turbo? And if so, what was the B turbo?
I could barely even see the stuck deuce in the photos, what with all the camo you put on the fender. Is that to keep those pesky looters from seeing your distressed vehicle?
I know on smaller trucks with dana 60 front axles, when the king pin bearings or ball joints start to go south, it can cause a similar situation (ask any old Ford-er about 'death wobble'). Are the knuckles on these rockwell axles help to the axle via king pins, and might they be the culprit?

Oh, that poor truck...
But really, not too bad, I guess. Strip off the cab and replacing it ought be easy enough.
Remind me never to vacation down there. The bugs sting hard enough to chew thru the floorboards! Or was that the mice that were looing to find a new home? And OIL for a water bowl...
Went over and started it today. It's got the little triangle tag that says it was gone thru in '89, and a few more parts have 1993 stamped on them. Drained the air tanks, checked the oil. How reliable is that gauge under the steering wheel for checking the air filter?
Well, my '51 GMC deuce needs some work, but I came upon a guy with 4 deuces and a 5 ton on a car lot not far from me, so I just wanted to stop in and chat. I figured from the condition of them they'd be going for 4-7k a piece. Got to chattin, and only 1 was still for sale, for $2800. I hope...
