    what did I do

There was nothing left in the middle. I replaced the wire and the gen meter jumped back up to full. I am gonna look through the manuals and see what fuse was in there. It's jerry rigged for now, and next time I will disconnect the battery. Oops.

    what did I do

Wanted to quickly change my belts and had the passenger side alt terminal touch something and got a crack and smoke from the drivers side terminal board just above the glow plug relay. Brown fusible wire. Can I drive to a local shop to pick up a new wire or should I wait for the wife to come...

    Oil/Trans Cooler lines

Any hydraulic shop would be able to make them for you. Not sure on what it would cost though. I was looking into the same thing a couple years ago as I had the rad out and twisted up the old lines getting them off. The dealership told me the vehicle was obsolete and they dont carry the lines. My...

    M1009 Fuel line issues

I couple months ago I was driving my trusty M1009 home with a full tank of diesel from a friends house in the boonies. About 20 miles from home the truck stalled out and the gas gauge read empty. After getting out of the truck I found the engine compartment and the entire passenger side was...

    JP8 in M1009

I am lucky enough to work at a hanger and crossing my fingers that one of our Aircraft has a fuel cell issue so I can get some free JP8 myself. I see the point with some 2 stroke oil as turbine engines dont require lubrication from the fuel. And whenever we do a fuel cell job we vasoline the...

    Battery Issues

**** I was hoping people would say that. Is it an ASAP thing or can I run it like that for a week or 2? Also before the battery issue when I started the truck the the GEN 1 light would come on but as soon as I gave it some gas it would go out. Now the same happens but the gen 2 light comes on...

Transfer case issue (I've read the TM and searched the forums)

Now that I think of it that is exactly what it is, a needle grease fitting. Thanks alot for that, I am glad I didnt try to drill it out. I do love Vancouver Island, I have lived here most of my life though and am hoping to get posted out east next year. The half a million price tag for a fixer...

Transfer case issue (I've read the TM and searched the forums)

Well I replaced all the u-joints on the front shaft. Glad the local Canadian Tire loans tools, got a U-joint puller which came in handy. Better than beating them out like we did when my rear on went on the trip back. Not sure if I messed up the rear yoke that mats to the transfer case but it...

Hey guys, when I picked up my 09 from GL I was told it had a transfer case issue. Wasnt too worried about it at the time but now I am looking into it a bit more. It shifts to Hi but wont go into Neutral. Yes I have it in Neutral and I have read the instructions on my visor. I dont wanna waste...
