My 1984 M1009 is at my local repair shop which my friend is the owner. I have put two sets of glow plugs and a new controller and the plugs keep burning up. He told me that all of the glow plugs are showing 24 volts is this correct? What could be the problem.

I went to Lowes and got a roll of insulation its silver in color comes and different lengths. It was pretty inexpensive and I done the whole floor of the cab area for about 25.00. Well after about a month of setting I finally got my M1009 running. I replaced the rubber fuel lines coming out of the tank which fixed my leak. A friend of mine fixed the rest which included a new starter, glow plug relay, running the hot wire to the glow plug (which wass hooked to tadlight)...

I have replaced all the glow plug still have no volts at any of the wires. Replaced the soleniod beside the master cylinder and the red wire on the top is the only hot wire when I turn it over none of the other wires get hot. Also the WAIT light on the dash does not come on.

I have a 1984 M1009. I am having trouble to get the thing to start. I replaced the solenoid next to the master cylinder. I have power at the top red wire but the other 3 are not showing anything. Can some please tell me how to go about fixing this problem. Thanks

I am not having any luck finding the glow plug relay on the firewall I have found the glow plug card under the dash but can not find the relay.
