    Deuce has hard brakes

I was going to say the same thing as WillWagner but he beat me to it. Now that you know the problem, time to get a gallon of DOT 5 at the least and do a thorough flush. Stuffs not cheap at your local auto parts store. I paid about $10 a pint when I didn't have the time to search for a better...

Offroadrunner, I could take my Deuce but only if its not raining. Don't really want to drive in the rain. Not that the truck can't handle it, but I'm not really in the mood to hassle with traffic, speeds, air operated wiper motors, yadda yadda yadda.... Talk to you guys soon, -Tyler

    still got radio noise

See the radio shack link in the 2nd post above. A Ferrite Choke is an RFI (Radio Frequency Interferance) reducer. I good applications it can eliminate noise heard in audio devices. Other times it'll at least reduce the noise and sometimes won't do anything at all. They are fairly cheap...

Is a CUCV Noisy & Smoky?

I would think that the "Unusually Noisy" part of the statement would refer to the type/class of vehicle being driven. A diesel is always louder than a gasoline vehicle which is louder than an electric vehicle. So you can't compare apples to oranges... If all CUCV's are noisy, then I would say...

    still got radio noise

Loop your power wire to your radio a few times through a Ferrite Choke or two. If that doesn't help, you can get a noise supressor from most car audio places, those help filter out the noise. Otherwise, time to pony up and take a good look at maybe rebuilding the alternator. -Tyler

Still sounds good with me. Whatever is decided, would need to check with the warden to get a hall pass. Don't think it'll be too much of a problem... Still like Stoddard myself... Just my 2 cents worth. -Tyler
