You could run a steering servo, but you would have to mount a hydraulic ram for assist. Keep the stock box and steering, servo goes inline and powers a ram for assist. Probably a little less work than mounting a box.

They make boot guards, which work awesome for rocks, stumps and mud, but I'm sure if you went bombing through brush you'd still rip one. Here's mine.

Same thing happened to me. I've installed 6 sets now and never had a problem. This time I decided to buy the cheaper ones and they both ripped within 2 miles. The rubber is super thin and very easy to rip. Guess I'll order my next set from ouverson engineering.

If it's for an off road toy, I'd go pinion brakes. Cheap and work great. All of the huge mud trucks usually use same set up and seems to work great. Modern monster trucks use pinion brakes also.

Yea, voltage seemed more than reasonable to me. I should have another switch laying around. Only cable I didn't replace during the rebuild was the battery to frame, so I'm going to replace it just to be safe.

These lights are designed to run on 33 volts max, they all worked perfect today. What are y'all's thoughts on the gauge reading high? If it's charging within spec should I not rely on the gauge? I'm stumped. I'll go over all the connections better and see if I find anything.

Here's a pic. Batteries and cables are all new, 6 months old. I'll go back and recheck everything.

I'm guessing my truck has a generator, it doesn't have the regulator on the back, it's got a metal fan. I have pics if needed. Static battery voltage is 26.35, which seems high, water level is about an inch from the fill. Voltage while running is 29.4 at the battery and out of the generator...

Trucks been running great for 6 months, noticed early on the voltage gauge reads a little high when the truck is running, just past the green indicator. So, I checked the voltage and was within spec, figured the gauge was off. Last night my head lights decided to quit working and the gauge...

I've rebuilt almost everything, the truck originally ran and drove great, I believe the milage is correct because a lot of things where just wore out. Engine and trans had rebuilt dates of 93. Lots of oil leaks, driveshafts were gone, u joints etc... The frame was rusted really bad which...

The gauge in mine says 93K, 2900 hours.

I've done it once, don't plan on it again. Rear winch is for the big pulls from now on.
