    Another Death Wobble Dilema

The "DW" that has been discussed on this site has been where the front tires on the Dana 60 only (not the M1009) have been moving left to right and not up & down. However, when the tires do go Left to Right your front end will most definately move up and down. I have had this on 3-4 of the D60...

New 6.2 diesel radiator hose help...M1009

My M1009 has same heater as yours. You should have a 110v plug in cord. I have never used or had to use it due to it never gets cold enough to need it. It gets down to mid to low teens a few times but my M1009 glow plugs works like it should (maybe sometimes I may have to cycle it twice). I have...

No GP Resistor on Oh9. Do I need it?

I removed the resistor on firewall when I converted mine to the pushbutton manuel GP. I still have 24v starter. It don't affect using the slave cables at all if you leave your batteries hooked up like normal for 24v. It's been this way for 3 years and have not had any premature battery failure...

    6.5 detuned to a 6.2

First I heard of a "de-tuned" 6.5L. Are the engines in ? 6.2 or 6.5L? You can ID which ones they are by looking at the front on the pass side of block where the head bolts to. It will have stamped 6.2 L on the flat area of the block. If it is a 6.5L, it will not have anything stamped in that...

    Rebuilt injector pumps - maybe

To MKCOEN: I agree with you whole heartily. This guy was just trying to pass on some information that could very well help out many on this site, then along comes MR "JONES who don't seem to be a "administrator", "moderator" or any other kind of "ator" except for maybe "agitator". It's become...

    Slave cable source?

Gimpy, I see where you say $ 39.00 is too much for the adaptor for the 1-pin to 2-pin type. Okay, there where can anyone buy this adaptor cheaper (web site & cost) ???

    Slave cable source?

If you will click on the link that "runk" has above, you will see that they offer an adaptor that has the 1-pin on one side & the 2-pin on the other. You can plug the std NATO 1-pin end into your slave cable then you can plug your slave cable into the 2-pin earlier versions. They told me costs...

    Slave cable source?

REF these slave cables, I made a set for myself using the single pin version and I got the ends off of some Roto Impact tools that were not working and used 20ft #1 welding cable. However, we are having a MV show at Pickens SC this weekend with about 40 MV there. I took 4 vehicles up there and...

How fast does a M1008 go?

That looks good. Could you give me an approx of what cost on it was? Also, what's ratio when it is in 1st gear and 4th gear? Did you notice any better fuel milage? Thanks Smokey

How fast does a M1008 go?

As said the trucks have 4:56 gear ratio. They have 41T on ring gear & 9T on pinion gear. On the outer edge of the ring gear there should be numbers stamped ( 41 - 9 ). As to one of these running stock tires 100 mph (that's gittin- her-done). You might want to look at the plastic speedometer gear...

    m-1028 vibration

Check your fuel tank. While idling go to fuel tank hold it or push on it up or down with your foot. Mine has rattled before & I put a pc of cardboard between tank and sheild.

    Warwag - m1028

You may have already found out which engine you have. Two things you can ck. First, look at front of engine RH side (pass side) right below where the head & block come together. If it is the std. 6.2 it will have it embossed on a flat area of the block "6.2 d". If it is blank, it probably a...

Oil pan cracked on my 09

You should be able to find a used oil pan at most any junk yard. Just call around your area and ask for 6.2 diesel oil pan. I think any year from 82 up would work. Explain that you don't need running engine-just pan. My guess $20-30 dollars. If you don't have any luck, I can come up with one...
