    Super-low oil pressure, M35A2 multifuel

Great tips everyone, thanks! I'll check it out on Weds (my day off...and they say it'll only be 106 out!) ...and I told ya it was a big log.... :)

    Super-low oil pressure, M35A2 multifuel

...just found the thread on the 15/40 Rotella, so at least I have that answer :)

    Super-low oil pressure, M35A2 multifuel

I noticed it yesterday, pulling a heavy load across the field (a downed tree, nearly the size and weight of my '05 Ram quad cab diesel). It was hot ambient out, probably low 90s, and I was running in first, 6x6, transfer case in low range for pulling power. Nothing overheated. Oil shows between...

    Good air...no brakes. M35A2.

Speddmon - THANK YOU. I got the publications list off the dash yesterday, I'll pull the right ones off the resources page. Logistical question. I've worked on a ton of cars, and a ton of bikes...I have jacks, and engine hoists....but nothing that will lift something THIS large. If I do need to...

    Good air...no brakes. M35A2.

Specifically, in publication TM 9-2320-361-20P, figure 91 - do I remove (2) - which on my vehicle seems to have a vent cap on it, not a connection to (1), which is hanging freely - from (*a), and fill it through the opening there?

    Good air...no brakes. M35A2.

OK, so I don't have a service manual, just a parts book...and I found the MC under the floor and it looks like the parts book drawing (bonus). There's a fitting on top of it. The parts book is...shall we say, less than helpful? Do I pull the fitting off the top and fill from there? Or is there a...

    Good air...no brakes. M35A2.

Yep, shoulda checked it before now. Didn't even think of it though, it's strictly a "back 40" truck, hasn't been off our property since we got it. Thanks all for the quick responses! I'll dig into it and see what I can find. Much appreciated!

    Good air...no brakes. M35A2.

Hi all, we have an M35A2 we got from Govt. auction last year. It's been doing great...until last week when the wife was driving it around the property (doing fun stuff like pulling stumps out of the ground!), and all of a sudden the brake pedal went to the floor. Air pressure is fine, no...

    Bolt under throttle pedal?

RE: Re: RE: Bolt under throttle pedal? This all makes perfect sense. Believe me, I'm not looking to race the thing...I just wanted to make sure it hadn't been "safetied" at half throttle or something silly. Now I know where to look, I'll check the linkage at the pump. The truck lives in the...

    Bolt under throttle pedal?

Heheh...that's funny, 2600 in 5th. Best I've seen out of it, I was watching MPH and not RPMs, but on a straight flat highway I saw about 45mph. Flat out. I guess I can adjust it for redline in 5th...or will it hurt it to just remove the bolt? Can it "over-open" the throttle?

    Bolt under throttle pedal?

My Deuce has a bolt under the throttle pedal, sort of a manual throttle stop it looks like. It's over an inch long, sticking straight up out of the floorboard, and limits me to about 1" or less of pedal travel. Is this right? Or should there be more travel available (i.e. to the floorboard)...

    Pucker factor of 10 ++++

Wow. Glad I found this thread, getting ready to take ours up on the mountain to put it to work, I'll make sure to check everything over before we hit the road. Good thing they're easy to get under!

VIN Info-'You may fire when ready, Gridley.'

Awesome info, thanks! To complete the picture, we purchased the truck at Chambersburg in 5/2008. Now, to get a title... :)

Deuce use - how do use yours?

We're planning to use ours to get land ready for living on. Bought a nice piece here in MD that needs cleared, some of the top of the hill needs to be moved down towards the bottom of the hill for better runoff, the driveway needs an overhaul (and an over-width vehicle to knock some stuff down)...

    What is this hole?

The "closing the side panel" bit prompts me to ask: my Deuce has heat, with the upper hole used for the vent. The duct comes out of the side of the heater case facing the side cover, and there is no elbow there, just a bend in the hose. Closing the side cover seems to pinch the duct against the...

    Winch operation?

I know it can kill. I did concert rigging for a living for over ten years - winches and heavy loads, just vertical. I know all about cable snap, etc. which is why I hadn't messed with it yet. I printed and scanned through the recovery and BDAR manual last week but it appeared to be mostly the...

    Winch operation?

I've been looking - is one available for DL? I didn't see one here in the Resources section and haven't stumbled on one online yet. I've printed everything I've been able to find so far, though...just nothing yet on the winch, which is why I haven't messed with it yet.

    Gear oil compatability

Just an off-the-wall question here. What with changing lubes, draining old fluids and stuff...is it too simple to be able to put the stuff in the fuel tank with your diesel and just burn it off? Or will it cause filter/pump problems? (Yes, I'm a Multifuel newbie...)

    Winch operation?

OK, I've got the PTO part figured out - transfer case in N, PTO in FWD, 5speed in first, let out clutch and it should engage the winch motor. But there are 2 levers on my winch that aren't labeled, a long one behind the passenger end of it (I think it may have "IN" and "OUT" engraved on it), and...

    NATO slave adaptors

Is there a way to use these connectors for a jumpstart if you only have one 24v vehicle? I'm keeping an eye out for a solargizer just in case....but come wintertime I'd hate to have a cold truck no-start.
