I titled my truck with a BoS only. The caveat for me is that the truck had never been titled, so they made me wait for 5 years and then they had me apply for an abandoned vehicle title (IIRC). Other than that, the titling process went fine. My local DMV did have to get the main office at...
I guess I had forgotten what it was called, but that's my SOP and just always do it. It doubles to get some oil flowing through the engine before startup too.
Lift pump visually checked - physically everything was good, but I don't know if the pump itself is working. There IS noise coming from it.
Filters only have about 1000 miles on them, but they're probably 10 years old and I run filtered WMO. Probably could use a changing.
I'm going to get fuel...
First off, it doesn't matter what the weather is... hot, cold.
I have an air compressor and a "soldier B". So, if the pressurized tank trick works... what does that mean? I won't be able to do it until the earliest of tomorrow.
Reviving this old thread because I'm having a similar issue.
I can leave the power on for 15 minutes and the truck will still have to be turned over 3 good times (for about 10s each) before it will catch. Once it starts, it runs just fine. I swapped in a different, albeit used, fuel pump...
I have passively saw a lot of talk about it around here. It seems like the general argument is that the transmission will be too long to keep the transfer case and still have reasonable driveshaft lengths.
I'll attempt it on one wheel before I get the stuff to do it on EVERY wheel.
Does anyone have a cross section of a Deuce wheel and a drop center wheel?
I didn't take that into consideration, good point. Hypothetically, this shouldn't affect the function of the physical bead-lock addition. The hardware itself may need to be longer to compensate for that.
My thoughts have been to take the stock wheels, have the rings removed, and weld-on 20" beadlock kits. This would get rid of the troublesome lock ring, widen the mounting area at least an inch so that the tires fit better, and make it easier to change tires. I have known these beadlock kits to...
This started to happen to me and went from bad to worse quickly. I suspected my FDC since power had dropped off; I was running about a 75/25 mix of WMO/diesel. I bypassed the FDC and it went away and I haven't looked back since. It is lower on power with the oil mix, but it's an acceptable loss.
We had a blast! The team LOVED the truck and the crowd seemed to enjoy it also... except when I hit the horn. I think some of the kids didn't realize how loud it was going to be!
I had planned to do something similar, but using pressure treated decking lumber. I was going to by the 5/4x6 and do the exact same thing. It's good to see someone else who has done something similar. Did you keep the troop seats functional? I have a similar setup in the bed as well, except...
