Adventures Of My New M1101 2010 Silver Eagle

I went to my county tax office here in Denton Tx. The lady talked to her supervisor for a few minutes and I was golden! I didn't get and sf97 because like you I didn't want to pay the extra money. I gave them my bill of sale and showed them a pic of the data plate. That was good enough. I did...

    [M1101] Front leg support pin

Oh and btw I was was looking for one too because mine is a pain to get in and out. I am keeping the old one but bought myself a longer one with a handle so its easier to work. Unless you want the trailer to be 100% authentic I would suggest getting pin like I got...

    [M1101] Front leg support pin

I took a look at Tractor supply and they have all different shapes and sizes of pins for tractors and implements. I found some that are the same size but have a good sized handle attached to them. Do you have any Farms supply stores around your area? You will need some place more than a home...

Another Ft. Sill M1101 finds a new home

Oh great. I think I already goofed on bulbs. I bought 1003 bulbs. I saw several post. Some saying 67 others 1003. I guess I rolled the dice. They do fit. I think im going to cut and splice the wires with those packard connectors that are already on it. Im leaving the mil plug on it and just...

Another Ft. Sill M1101 finds a new home

Where did you find those connectors? I still got to wire mine. I agree that lady was a demon on that fork lift. She was nice enough though. I live in Texas but didnt have an issue getting the plate. Lights are next. Yours looks pretty good like mine. I had a few dents but pounded those out...

What I found out about seals.

Quick question. Is it possible to save the current seals? I just picked up my M1101 and the drivers side gets hot so I was going to inspect and repack the bearings. If the seals look ok can I keep them or is it manditory that they be changed for new every time? Thanks

    The M1101 is HOME!

Apscott I am not sure about that. The last trailer I had used a normal sized trailer. I never knew there was an option. I just got a normal sized for this and im thinking about just drilling into the crossmember under the tailgate. I am going to do what you did. I think I can get a little...

    The M1101 is HOME!

Trooper632: I had a signed bill of sale from GL and the form 130U - Request for title. This is needed to register it but they gave me the option of whether I wanted to get a title or not. I did not want a title because of the weight. At first the lady told me I would have to get a weight...

    The M1101 is HOME!

Took a road trip up to Ft. Sill, OK this morning from Denton, TX to pick up my M1101. I have dubbed it the "War Wagon." This thing is in amazing shape! All of the lights except the tail lights are LED so the swap should be fast! There were a few dents but I was able to pound them out with a...

Registration of trailer in Texas Help

Thanks again yall! I pick up my trailer at Ft. Sill, OK tomorrow morning. I am very excited. I have already found out that the riser hitch I bought is too short so I have located a Tractor supply in Lawton to do a swap. I planning on using the crap out of this trailer much like the last so I...

Registration of trailer in Texas Help

Is there any advantage to registering it as a FMV? It's not like I paid a lot for the trailer so $60 isn't going to kill me. I was just hoping to skip a step. I don't plan on ever selling but for my records I might consider doing an SF97. Thanks for all your help. I'll post pics when I pick it up.
