Looks good. If it is still 24v I would do the resistor bypass to protect your glowplugs. I would see about putting the glowplug system back to its stock configuration. Really isnt that hard to figure out with a little troubleshooting. Cucvelectric.com has new controller cards if you need one...

Good luck with getting things squared away. If you haven't yet, please do a search for (doghead relay). This modification can save you from a runaway starter. I have dealt with CUCV Electric and they are great. Search (resistor bypass) too. Again good luck.

When I replaced mine I had to get a reducer fitting for the coolant sensor. Any hardware store should have one.

If you get a CUCV then you can be cool like us. Just kidding. If you are handy they are a nice truck to have. It is still a 25 year old truck. I like the cool factor and use mine as a plow-winter work truck. It is fun turning heads when driving around town.

Here is a picture of the back of my cab. I would just seal the front of the ambulance boby and use a regular cab if you want to use it as a camper. There is a gasket that goes between the cab and the door. The window area is filled in with sheetmetal.

Before and After Was pretty much gutted out in patient area. Pulled entire front clip off and took cab off of the frame. Stripped to bare metal, new cab corners, rocker panels and inner wheel wells. Two coats of epoxy...

The taller mounting plates are not as stable. If it is bending you need to weld in some bracing as it will fatigue over time.

You need to do the resistor bypass. Your glowplug relay is probably toast. You really need to troubleshoot before you do more damage. Search under resistor bypass and go from there. You also need to check all of your ground wires. Clean them and make sure they are tight. Good luck.

Have you done the Doghead relay mod? If not I suggest it before you install a new starter.
