Do you by chance have the information off the sidewall of the Continental tire? I need to get some for my Mog.

I just got a bad leak on one of my hydraulic cylinders for the backhoe. I bought a new kit to rebuild it from a company called Martin Fluid Power. My question to the group is: does anyone have to rebuild the front hydraulic cylinders? If so, I'm planning on working with them to build a seal kit...

Here it is! Finally moving dirt at a local show! Unfortunately one of the hydraulic seals broke so I will need to repair one of the cylinders.

Does anyone have a nice FAQ sheet that I can print out and laminate? I'm ready to show off my Mog. Pictures coming soon!

I found something that will help for line routing in the parts manuals. TM5-2420-224-24P-1 and -2 Those two manuals are not on the google drive.

Hi. I know it's been a while but, time for an update: Transmission is reinstalled, engine is reinstalled, almost ready to put on the floor plate above the transmission however, a couple of lines are missing and I don't know where they go. The manual says to label the lines before removing them...

Well If you ever get to the point to pull the tank, there is a way to clean the inside. I restored a Trojan wheel loader (proof of concept model only 500 were built), anyway the tank was full of rust. Once we had the tank off, we put large square nuts in the tank. (The hex nuts don't work as...

Have you tried blasting the old screen with walnut shells? Also, insert a piece of tube inside the screen to keep it from collapsing and making the mesh too big.

I'm sure I can get some parts. I've worked on this thing too hard to give up now.

Transmission Saga Well, I'm digging more into the transmission. What was a promising outlook has quickly turned into a FUBAR diagnosis. The machine was stuck in gear because the transmission got so hot that one of the syncromesh friction welded itself together. Also, almost all the bearings...

My tilt cylinder for the backhoe leaks. On another issue, I decided to tear into the transmission myself. Two bearings are destroyed so I'm glad I decided to pull the unit out. I ordered a gasket kit. I just need to find some bearings now. I think I have a source for that though.

I don't know what to look for either. This is the first transmission I have ever taken apart. Right now I am looking for things I don't want to find. I'll need to re-tap some holes because some nit-wit who had this apart before me put grade 8 bolts in some of the holes. Grade 8 bolts are not...

Well I got some of the covers off. It looks clean but a bearing is spinning in the front and a bearing or seal is starting to come out.

I'd go to a airport service center for turbine aircraft. Each engine uses a 24v battery and they have to be replaced every few years regardless of condition. I got (2) 24v Gill batteries from a Turbine Twin Commander. They have enough oomph to get the Mog started and I only paid what a scrap...

Lousy forum. It doesn't send me any e-mail notifications and when I come back I have 100+ pages to look through. Well, today is a big step out of the way. I got the tranny pulled out. Now I either pay someone else to work on it or do it myself. I'll see what EI wants to rent their tranny tools.

That's what I'm thinking. I'll be happy if I find something wrong with it. and I'll be ecstatic if the only thing wrong is the forks popping off the shifting gears and I need to replace the seals. Either way, it will be fixed correctly.

Mog would not shift. Missing gaskets and liquid gasket was used instead. leaks in drive shaft seals. Loose washers because too long of bolt was used. Sheet of paper inside cab that was once taped to window stating "Unit does not move"

Transmission project update: I got the cab tilted and the engine removed. Unfortunately, someone I was talking to told me what the problem might be and I might not have had to pull out the engine. Since I have no idea what Uncle Sam did to the transmission I might just pull the tranny out...
