NV4500 swaps and clutch pedal specific questions

easiest way that i know of is to use 85+ pedals with oem gm master cylinder and internal slave cylinder with a new line made. suggest some lift for slave to driveshaft clearance. most off the shelf gm components. literally bolts together. dont know much about the external nv4500. second would...

guy on ck5 and pirate "NVRENUF" did it with stock chevy d60 calipers and brackets on a d70hd which uses the same backing plate flange.

    Lift kit for M1009

My favorite is 2.5 lift with a shackle flip and cut to fit 35s. Minimal collateral damage in driveshafts, steering, and brake lines. Drives great and low cost.

    Np205 cross member?

    No extra crossmember required.

    CUCV quick lift question

I would love to see you give money to ORD but I think your'e complicating it. I also own an 06 dodge with 37s and no steering stabilizer. A well set up suspension doesn't need all these fancy things. I think you will find that a lifted k30 with good condition bushings and steering joints will...

    CUCV quick lift question

Still, crossover may not be the answer. Push pull sends the box forward and back crossover will literally pull the bolts through the frame. You really only need a bolt in brace with stock steering and a one ton frame. Call ord and pick their brains. Stephen will tell it like it is and the guy...

    CUCV quick lift question

4 inch and 37s with a 17 inch wheel. little bit of cutting. white one is 6 inch and 42s. lots of cutting. Crossover steering does not require hydro assist or a panhard bar. It does require a lift though. Those might be masking other issues. Like low caster numbers with that shim under those...

    Time to let go??

    Smallest tire on HMMWV rims??

Any 16.5 tire will work that is at least 9" wide. Lots of options from super swamper and every once in a while BFG all terrains in the 35" tires.

    Correct wheel studs for M1028?

I have never replaced a stud unless I screwed it up. I have had way older and more severe duty vehicles with more frequent tire changes and still the studs are fine. I will replace lug nuts as a wear item though.

    4l80e to np205

your 205 *should* have the long input gear in the 205. then you will use a 4x4 4l80e and this spacer and the tcase and th400 205 adapter.

    M1008 Front Suspension

This is 4" on a 1008. Very level. 1009 has smaller axle, so lower by about an inch.

    New guy from Oklahoma

What front Springs get into the frame like that? I only ever had that happen with 52s not forward enough.

    Is this a good deal?

500 to me is a pulled price. If I were you I'd pull yours and send it to be rebuilt and reinstall. Then take this extra one home and learn how to rebuild it on your own time. Learn something new. It's surprisingly easy.

    Nv4500 swap

85-91 square body manual transmission hydro boost brakes will fit. Vacuum brakes can be made to work. These yards don't make any money selling desired parts cheap.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Well, it hasn't really presented itself as an issue personally, but I'm sure it could become one. If the weather cooperates and gets cold enough for me to not want to drive it, the nv4500 205 is going in. On the crossover tube, I was surprised to see the unavailability of used parts. I'd...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Pulled the cover off to diagnose a leak. Never went back on. Been off for a while. I welded a nut to the broken bolt twice. Still never came out. Eventually drilled it out and cut threads into it. It's my daily driver by choice, I have another vehicle but I enjoy driving it so I chose to repair...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Broke a bolt off in the housing. Removed the coolant crossover and drilled it for repair. Then threw in the front locker with new inner axle seals.
