The brake light switch is 2 pined in one shell. There are military vehicle parts vendors that stock the switch with the dugless connector.

I don’t have the parts book in front of me to look up the technical name but I just searched “M series distributor plug” for the photo. Most MV parts suppliers have them. When I said harness before, I should have said engine wiring harness.

There should be a wire to supply 24v to the threaded plug on the harness.

Just to let you know the Best gasket set will not have the lower oil pan gasket since the military 302 has a 2 piece oil pan and the civilian 302 is 1

I pretty sure that o-ring is a seal on the crankshaft flange because the other side is inside the torus full of fluid

I did a 318 repower a while back. I used the 435 trany but I didn’t need the pto. The trick is to find a 60’s Chrysler universal cast bellhousing. Because it uses a hydraulic cylinder clutch release on the right side to account for the power pack being offset to the left. Check out the G741...
