Awesome guys, thanks for all the help. Thanks yo you guys I wound up finding a ISSPRO8750 on the bay for 18$ shipped and a VDO 301-904 fuel gauge from summit for 37$. I didn't really care for the chrome ring on the isspro gauge but i have a can of plastic dip to spray the ring black. I will...
Ok so both my fuel and water temp gauges stopped working at the same time. Weird, I know but I referred to the TM and started out by testing out both gauges. Both gauges appear to be doa. I searched the forums and found the vdo 301-904 is a direct drop in. Does anyone have the direct replacement...
Update: took the relay apart and snapped the dam screw somehow. While fiddling with it I also broke the solder connection and need to re solder it. Once I drilled out the broken screw I re-tapped the threads. As I was doing such the lovely plastic snapped in 1/2. Anyone know where I can find one...
Does anyone know how to stop the engine/water pump pulley from rotating while tightening up the water pump/fan main bolt? I mean I can do it with a pipe wrench but that would obviously leave marks and possibly damage a new water pump, there has to be a way to keep the pulley from turning? Anyone...
I did send them an email explaining what had recently taken place at Drum and I received pretty much the same email. It's corporate and I know it's absolutely going nowhere and a waste of time on my part.
Update: Got my new (used) relay in the mail today! Before installing it I gave it a quick bench test and what'd you know? It works like a charm! I re-installed it and fired up the set holding my breath and crossing my fingers before flipping that switch. I flipped the switch, heard an audible...
i did attempt to settle it through GL but Samantha wanted me to lie and say my machine was damaged and that she'd vouch for it by sending GL a few photos of a busted up machine to prove it so I'd get my money back "quicker" F- that! I called PayPal and cancelled payment. PayPal said if they find...
Yes exactly! I won one of those 2009 ones with 32 hours and bid a little more heavy because of it. What a joke, I want my item that I won not a fuel tank or mre's!! Well, I guess I'm on punishments because the suspended my GL account but I'd rather that then deal with bait & switch
I had a terrible experience with fort drum. I won a 2009 gen with 32 hours on it and later on that night I checked the auction and it magically changed to a 2005, had 269 hours and a totally different serial number!!! I called "Samantha" and she gave me a song and a dance yet no real reason why...
I did the fleabay search and won a used one for 100$. Who knows the condition of this thing... mine had only 40 hours and it failed and it looked brand new when I took it out. The fleabay one looks all scratched up and dusty so who the the **** knows, I guess I'll find out soon. I'll keep you...
So I shouldent even try to look for the original one? I should try and find the contact industries? Do u guys think theses companies/manufacturers would even deal with a 1 item sale?
Ok so I removed the cover again and started the set to test it on the generator and nothing. So I took a block of wood and when flipping the circuit to closed it clicks but doesn't fully close. So just to test I pushed down on top of the open relay with the wood and instant power. I'm at the end...
I did test every termial. From what I can see when I had it all apart and would apply voltage is that the contacts don't fully touch the points when voltage is applied. When I push down on the middle contact pad rocker thing a little bit it fully makes contact and it completes the circuit and I...
Ok so I took the whol relay apart and out of continues fiddling with it it seems that the magnet isn't strong enough to pull down the contact poles. I sanded everything down a bit to clean the it up a bit and to make the best possible contact, then re assembled it and installed it back into the...
