THE BEST FIX EVER... did it yesterday absolutely worked perfect no more slamming doors! Nice call whoever thought of this. Only works on post type striker tried on my 76 Scout..no beuno :x

Yes..I do not tow w a k5, short wheelbase and twitchy steering. I've owned these trucks since the 80's. Just enjoy them & don't work em. Good 4by truck about it.

I got Westlake-369's in 31". Love them and they ride great..(Walmart or Ebay). got 4 for under $400.

The pintle rated @1200#. If u got class III "CURT" type frame hitch then about 3500# max. Treat it as a k5 w/ 305ci & 307axle...(not much tow for these k5's...about10k#max combined is top end.

Check injectors first for proper function then change ALL glows not worth headache just doing "bad" ones it's cheap under a hundo ( I use AC G 60's). White smoke is raw fuel/ cold cylinder just one will cause this. After all that then move to IP....my 2cents.

Same here this morn....sounds like you got her dialed in.

Don't adv to much..maybe 1/2 mark at a time..you don't want smoke. Also good glows make a huge difference. Check tstat if only getting 150*. I got 185* in mine and get good heat.

Yes that's all I do (it's like setting choke on a carb if your old enough to remember those).

Just want to brag on my 85 1009...It's was -16 last night(reg temp) here in SW OH and went to start her up with two glow cycles she fired right over. I don't have to hold pedal or nothing. I only touch pedal after she starts to set fast idle. No block heater no fuel adders...nothing..no diesel...

Thought I'd post a few pics of my 09 with a few upgrades...tint, am/fm/cd, console, mats, voltmeter, magnetic clutter holders, 2.5 lift w new 31's, resistor bypass, (24v still),spin on filter (interior pretty good shape)...I drive it daily with not a single issue... ( give my Silverado a rest)...

Yes.. I almost hooked up the blue soft glow lights around the cup holder but then it would lose its testosterone and I'd have to add estrogen at every fill up!! It holds my pistol & stuff just fine...:D:swbradley1:

Thought I'd post some pics of my 85 09 I got in Aug. Paid $3k!! I drive it daily w 46k now. I took the 6" lift down to 2.5", new 31's, rear window regulator, belts, hoses, new Flowmasters etc. Put console, AM/FM, rear rubber & floor mats & rear tint. Runs very well w NO issues. Already did GP...

I gave $3k for my 09 in Aug. It had 44k, very good interior & NO leaks & runs perfect. I drive it daily to work putting 2.6k of trouble free miles so far.
