    Possible rear main leak fakeout.

I had the exact same issue. Even after it was fixed (leaking at an injector port) I leaked for a while but it eventually stopped. I'll go with dougco's bet.

    M1008 Wont Start/Need Some Help

Not sure but, I'll always go with a bad battery, even if they tested individually fine. It's a loud click and then everything is dead? If lights are on, they go dead? Re-read...fuses, perhaps bad ignition switch? 24V to the starter relay? If you go to start, is there 12 V at the relay?

    Barstow

Interesting, for my pick up, I would not have moved the truck with an unsecured 8Klbs forlift sitting on it, so I'm glad they didn't say anything. I asked if I could tie down the load and they said sure. They stopped by once or twice to see how things were going but I never felt they were...

    Barstow

I'd call and ask. I was there a few weeks ago, they kind of want you to leave but they will work with you normally. It took me about 30 minutes to tie down a forklift to a flatbed. Checking fluids would probably be OK...changing fluids, probably not. Once you are off base, you are on route...

Need some help with Glow Plug components

For some reason everything sounds OK to me but the part about the engine turns over. I had a similar issue and I put new batteries in it and realized that yes the motor was turning over, but not as hard as it needed to be. I second going with the manuals as well.

Helluva banging noise and won't turn over

After a few issues with my CUCV and the absolute depth of knowledge here I now tend to look for the simpler things before I start to panic about major repairs. The best one I can remember is no tail lights the fuses looked good and I started to panic about all the things I would need to trouble...

Helluva banging noise and won't turn over

Does the crank rotate when you attempt to start it? A dead battery could be the issue. Try a new battery. I'm thinking not enough juice to kick the starter up right and the banging is a result. With the required amperage, I'm thinking the starter will engage and you will hear the engine...

    R.I.P.--DJFREEMA--Devin Freeman

Here are a few more shots from the day the street was closed for only those honoring Devin. The entrance to the parking lot. Parking. Some steel soldiers. The entrance. The memorial. I was very honored to celebrate Devin's life with those who knew him and worked and played with him. I...

    R.I.P.--DJFREEMA--Devin Freeman

Will and I meet up at the memorial today. I was planning on being home (20 miles away) for the memorial but I found myself in El Centro CA (290 miles). I'll post some more shots in the morning as I'm really tired. Devin was a great guy as evidence of the urn his remains were placed in. RIP...

    R.I.P.--DJFREEMA--Devin Freeman

Met Devin on plenty of Dirt Bags, his rig and his family were always tops and he was a humble gentleman and willing to give a newbie a hand. I've seen way too many go before they should have. RIP Devin, their is place in my heart that will remember you and your family. BarneysZoo do you have...

    Cucv stalling when applying brakes?

Mine did it on the way home from pickup once, but it was a 300 mile trip and a couple of tanks and engine treatment, I haven't had it happen since.

    Cucv stalling when applying brakes?

Stalls, like the fuel cuts off or just kind of chugs off? Like you go off power and coast (engine runs fine) but then hit the brake and engine dies?

    2013 SoCal Spring Rally

Won't hear me laugh. I was thinking of fabricating some ramps to get my car in the bed of the 1028, that way the wife can go home early and I can stay happy. Here is my Carbon offset next to my old toy...miss it every once and awhile. I'm thinking a Merdec paint job to match the 1028.

So. Cal. Bad Karma Campout/Training Feb 22-24

It was nice to get out and see everyone after a year or two. I just stayed for a few hours and it was pretty windy but a windy day doing clean up still beats a day doing cleanup at home. I only got a single shot and it was the way home but here it is...
