Her last ride??? You better not be putting her down!!!
I'm sorry, I see what I said could be taken more than one way, I am selling the Detroit, I have taken that project as far as I wanted to.
Diggy Dog is only about a year and a half old and Australian Cow Dogs (Red Heeler) can live for 20 years or so and she has been given a clean bill of health so she may just out live me, I try to take better care of her than I do myself!!

I was talk in’ about the truck…

😜😝🤡

I like that rig. Shame you’re selling her. She would make a terrific camper.
You know it is funny, I guess,, EVERYONE told me getting a Heeler was a mistake, she'll tear everything up, too much energy bla bla bla.
I only met two people with Heelers, one was Austin (beltfed on fleabay) and they loved them.
In only 9mo she is by far the best dog I have ever had, lots of energy: yes, thinks pretty much anything at her level is a toy: working on it..
She was a "rescue" dog, her owners would put her in a 3X5 cage every day when they went to work and she did have some bad habits.
But she is VERY smart, learns fast and wants to please, but with 60AC she has plenty of room, does not wander off or chase the cattle, she does stay a LONG way away from Pokie, the donkey, not sure what happened there :)
I do run her every afternoon, we go down and feed the fish and she smokes the Kawasaki Mule every time, makes me laugh as she looks like a WWI fighter ace with a scarf, she has a very long tongue that flaps past her neck when she is in high gear.:ROFLMAO:

Serious toe in and no eyes.

Going to need some love, CAMO
You have no idea, Harris county stripped the crud out of that truck, took EVERY electrical component and cut every wire doing it, took the front half shafts, all the steering gear components and the sway bar, seat belts, dog house, battery cables, passenger seat,, I mean everything they could unbolt!
I bought it mostly for the helmet top and rear X doors, but she is in such good condition I bought another parts truck and will make her whole again, it really will not be financially worth all the work but I just hate to see her get scrapped.

It’ll be a sweet setup when you get it done. I’ve been looking for a while now for a ATTBAR top for mine. I’ll just be patient. Eventually I’ll snatch one up for sale, even if it has to have a truck attached to it, like yours was lol.

I looked back and GP has only sold 7 of them that I can find.
The Amtech is pretty nice, that is what I have on the "Detroit" and are rather plentiful but as you said that ATTBAR is pretty sweet.

Yea i like the lower profile and lines of the attbar and what I've gathered is it is a bit more sturdy than the amtech, but if i come across a nice amtech it’ll be hard to pass. Right now I’m just rocking the 1152 hardtop, with the open back wall, as is around the farm. I have a complete 2 man soft top that I might use the back curtain and cargo divider out of to mock up and use this winter.

MISSION ..... ESCORT THE WALL... Nov. 7, 2023 Here in the Mojave Desert we have a scaled down version of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.
This morning Palmdale Sheriff’s Station had the privilege of escorting the Mobile Vietnam Memorial Wall from Palmdale to the Los Angeles county line, where Kern County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol picked up the escort. Their final destination was Westpark Elementary School in Rosamond for set up and display.

To assist it the move CAMO got in behind to take up the rear of 70 motorcycles and support crew.

And the gang to get it there... Lots of motorcycles that stretched for a half a mile and I didn't get some pictures of them. the group.jpg

Out to the do-it-yourself quarter car wash (that now gladly accepts ApplePay.. crazy). Brought a helper that vacuumed the inside while I focused on drying and shinning the window glass. Came home and vacuumed the junk that falls out of tress and ends up in the radiator stack… and found a burned out low bulb. Always something to fix.. Carshow tomorrow attended by a number of other HMMWV “enthusiasts” but I expect the muscle cars will get most of the attention. Our little blocked off section is under construction so we’ll be spread around. It seems like larger numbers of military vehicles parked *together* attract significantly larger interest. A big hats off to the Veterans of the United States Military… because of what you did, and continue to do, I get this ridiculously taken for granted freedom to do the things that I enjoy. My sincerest thank you.

I took a 120 mile jog this morning to Karnes City and back to pick up a Craigs list purchase.
I figured 50 deg would be a little uncomfortable in the DuraVee with no doors or back wall so I took the Detroit, seeing as it was veterans day and all.
That decision turned out to be a good one as it rained for about 75 miles of that trip, some of the time so hard I slowed down to 60MPH not wanting to discover the hydroplaning speed of the TreadWright tires:rolleyes:

The local Veteran's Day parade wanted the HMMWV and told me I would have two WWII vets in the back seats. Cool, I'll be there.

So I get to the staging area this morning and discovered my County Sheriffs have an MRAP? Sleepy little county with a SWAT team, an armored HMMWV (they didn't bring it because it's broke) and this giant MRAP?

Parade03.jpg

So the parade people inform me they want me to carry three WWII vets and one of the wives, and that they're the parade Grand Marshals.

OK, but I only have three seats, so they put one of the vets in the vehicle behind me. I was sorta the lead vehicle. The County firetruck was lead, then the Marine Color Guard, then me.

EDIT to add: For all the cameras clicking away in the staging area and along the parade route, these are all the photos I've been able to find.

The four Marines were part of some fitness display and were going to be marching between the HMMWV and the Color Guard, I offered them the tailgate and they accepted. The whole time they were standing in the back I was worried they were stepping on my soft doors, but the doors survived.
