Finally got my hands on an MRZR-D4 and man is it fun. I had originally intended to strip it all down and restore it, but I think I'm going to leave it as-is. It looks like honest wear without signs of any real abuse.
After checking fluid levels and the belt/clutch conditions, I took it and had a little bit of fun with it. Everything runs great, but the shocks definitely need to be rebuilt. I've thought about respringing them myself, but I know that the right answer is to have them rebuilt.
The 28" tires aren't bad, but I've given some thought to stepping up to the 30" or even 32" version of the stock BFG tire. Has anybody played around with a slightly bigger tire?
