Which bracket?Does anyone know the purpose for the bracket in Lawdogs picture above showing the cargo net behind the rear seats? The bracket in question is located on the back deck right behind the rear seats. It is also used on both the 4 seat and 2 seat gas models.
Looking at the breakdown of the main case, I don't see a differential anywhere. The only polaris's that have an unlockable rear axle to my knowledge are those equipped with a turf mode. I can check the service manual later but I've never know the rear axle to not chirp on these. These are made for off-road use, so avoid tight circles on pavement or steer with the throttle.Does anyone know if the rear differential is unlockable? Mine seemed to be permanently locked however the display shows it only as the right rear engaged and it has eaten another rear axle. Civi models do unlock but they also have a switch.
Thank you. I saw no mention of it in the repair manual either. Time to order one of the heaviest made out there, and change my driving habits.Looking at the breakdown of the main case, I don't see a differential anywhere. I ordered one from Cobra axles. That one should last longer!I didn't take any pics, but Cobra Axles in Houston made me a spec rear axle for the MRZR-D4. The fit is exactly like the OEM axle and it's definitely beefy.
While the Rhino 2.0 may also fit and will save you a few bucks, it's nice to know that there are options out there in the event that we need spares.

Thanks for all the help and information you're sharing, I've had my 2017 Mrzr for a bout 2 years now. Did you have that top made?Ok, today i went back to the original seats (bottom section) with a polaris 900 back rest. New upholstery as well. The original paddle style back rest were unconfortable and the RZR 1000 pro seats i installed previously were too big and space was limited.
I put some 30 inchers on mine. I had to get some spacers for the rear as they were going to rub on the shock springs. Finally got my hands on an MRZR-D4 and man is it fun. I had originally intended to strip it all down and restore it, but I think I'm going to leave it as-is. It looks like honest wear without signs of any real abuse.
After checking fluid levels and the belt/clutch conditions, I took it and had a little bit of fun with it. Everything runs great, but the shocks definitely need to be rebuilt. I've thought about respringing them myself, but I know that the right answer is to have them rebuilt.
The 28" tires aren't bad, but I've given some thought to stepping up to the 30" or even 32" version of the stock BFG tire. Has anybody played around with a slightly bigger tire?
