Whats the difference between the White and Continetal Motors??

I have a 1966 M35A2 with the White motor and "C" turbo. All of my freinds who have M35's have the continetal. Im sure these motors were made to contract specs, no?

This is what I belive also but I had many people come up to me a rallys saying "wow a White with a C turbo". Colelctors from the UK, France , Holland all over. I have yet to see another M35 with a white motor.

Most of my deuce units have had White/Hercules engines as White owned Hercules for a while also. I've had a few trucks with Continentals with either C or D turbos. Here's a pic of the 1987 government repower dataplate in my 1970 truck.

All the deuce's i have owned had white engines, some with d turbos and some with c turbo's

What year is the motor and the truck? Is that a C or D turbo?

I have a mystery engine in my truck. I know it is a ldt-465 1d. I also know it is a thick deck block. However the data plate on the side of my engine simply says "multifuel". My truck was depot overhauled in '91. Haven't checked to see if the engine has the same rebuild/ manufacture date.

I'm pretty sure my engine has a generic depot rebuild tag on it. I know exactly what engine I have. Just don't know who made it.
