What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Yes, the stock hardware on the B pillar works with only one small issue. The hole in the seat belt "reel" is ever so slightly undersized. I was able to clean it up with a 1/2" drill bit and cordless drill.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Honestly, I borrowed the idea from an earlier thread post. Start around post #2744 and read on. The belts are available from ebay for less than $20/pair, search for HMMWV seat belts. It's well worth the effort...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Installed HMMWV seatbelts in the old M1009. A few snags with the bolts in the floor, but all is well now. I would highly recommend this upgrade/mod if your seat belts are as bad as mine were.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

This week's project was a tough and dirty job. I had a small, annoying oil leak to chase down, only a few drips, but a lot of built up wet crud. 8-10 hours later, I had replaced the oil pan gasket, rear main seal, rubber fuel lines, fuel pump and gaskets. Good luck with your GL experience. I purchased my M1009 from a private party after watching the auctions for a couple months.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

The list is long and I've only had my M1009 for 3 weeks. Mainly maintenance related stuff, a few upgrades and hunted down a few electrical gremlins. It's been fun so far and I'm really enjoying the process. By the way, if the wife happens to ask the following list only cost about $100 to...

Have garage, want CUCV...spoken like a true caveman. The search goes on for me. Lapua Dan gambled and hit the jackpot. He's being modest, the truck is mechanically sound and nearly rust free. The sun has done a number on the paint and fiberglass.

The starter bracket is present and accounted for. However, the nut was finger tight and almost off. It's good to go now.
