they dont tax waste motor oil or used veg oil. do you get screwed if you get caught running that too??
idc either way, i dont run off road on road. i keep it green in my dodge diesel and i dont run my deuce on the highway. but if you run everything and the kitchen sink in your fuel tank, can...
i run my multifuel everyday (its set up as a power unit for my firewood processor) and, expecially during the summer, i run nearly 100 percent used motor oil. in the winter i thin it with off road diesel, just to make start up easier. im sure there is tranny oil and 90wt in it too. i just take...
Yes, ive searched. and no, havnt found a specific answer
There seems to be quite a bit of problems like this, but everyone has a different opinion?
My situation is like this, im using my multi-fuel as a power unit, so it is getting ran an hour to two at a time @ 1700 rpm constantly. I have...
Well, I run my firewood prossesor off my deuce front flang. With a AG drive shaft. And in 3rd gear and 18 mph at 1800 rpms the shaft is turning around 1000 rpm. I would hate to see what it would be turning at 2600 and and 55 mph. I don't think the shaft was made for kind of abuse.
wreckerman, the jeans sound like a good idea. i've been straining mine through a shirt stretched over the top of a bucket. seems like you can sew up the legs and hang the jeans by the belt loops and fill her up. :-D
Thanks for the idea!
I've seen guys run it on straight waste oil (motor oil or veggie oil) they say gasoline is a last resort, and that your supposed to mix in a quart of oil per every x amout of gas to lube the pump. blah blah blah but mixing it half and half like stated above is not only doable but cost efficent...
will be doing the same soon. i have the sissor lift from one of our old farm trucks, a pto out from another deuce, pump, tank, and lines from said truck. only money ill have in it will be in fluid. Looking forward to it :-D
True that. And if you can re-gear the transmission (i assume the trans is what gimpyrobb is talking about) that would be much cheaper, faster, and easier. Didnt know those kits were out there, sorry
looks like a set of 4.56's and a set of 46" tires would be ideal. You'd lose quite a bit on the bottom end though, so it might be better with a set of 5.13's
The rear driveshaft is laying in the back of the truck. 8 bolts was easier than getting 8 tires off the ground. I'm working on a power unit to run the processor off of so I can free up my truck. It will work much the same way but I have cut both axle shafts on that axle. Stranger things have...
I only read the first few pages where ya'll were talking about the spider gears and worried that it would hurt them to turn at different speeds for extended periods of time...
