you can get the front style wheel nuts from, od iron, boyce equipment, or ebay to name a few.... i have a bunch of inoperable m105 trailers so i just robbed from those when i did my single conversion....definitely use the front style nuts. don't half ass it.
once you have the duals off its actually a lot easier to do than it sounds once you get into it. it only took me about 2.5 hrs to do one axle. the hardest part was resafetying the bolts once you got the hub flipped and reinstalled on the drum. its so simple to do, i don't see why you should have...
ranchhopper, i've never liked the fore/aft spring flex you get from under spring lift blocks like this. i'll probably fab some under frame lift blocks for the perches. thanx for the pics, sanitary lookin truck...
my problem is that my deuce is an 85' and cannot be registered historic. as far as i know in this state and this state only you are required a class b commercial or above to drive a 6000lb vehicle with 3 or more axles. this is my main reason for bobbing. you can go with the same gvwr after...
my partner and i run a kenworth transfer with an 80k gvwr and a mack dump with a 25.9k gvwr for our lanscape supply, and our bit inspector(chp) explained to us that these new diesel smog laws going into effect only affect 26k gvwr and above trucks. only somthing to get your panties in a twist...
m105 springs on bobbed deuce
does anybody know if its possible to use the spring packs and perches off of an m105 trailer to bob the rear end of a deuce? if i had a trailer handy to look at i could probably tell.....
the air assist power steering kit would probably allow for a smaller steering wheel which is really what i'm after cause the stock steering wheel is a little close for comfort.
the reason i ask is, there are a bunch of these kits listed where he said right now and it looks like hydraulic power steering components to me. there's 2 steering actuators a valve and lots of attaching hardware, brackets, hoses, and fittings in the kit. it just looks like it's missing the...
does any body know anything about an FSC issued power steering kit for the m35a2, nsn#2530013884240?? i'm just wondering if its a full, bolt on kit. or if it requires extra parts not included. from the pictures i've seen it does'nt look like it comes with a pump. anybody ever installed one of...
very nice truck 55. the picks of your truck up next the other bobbed deuce shows that it just looks more correct moving the axle back on the frame than keeping the stock placement. i was trying to decide whether or not to move the axle back on my bob project and your pics sold me. thanx for the...
i picked up some brand new 14.50 xl's on ebay awhile back for $200 a tire shipped. there's always good deals coming and going there. just keep your eyes open.
