The batteries are .mil but 6-7 yrs old yrs old. Thinking that maybe the culprit. Cant get to the gen after start before it kicks down to get the voltage with a mutli meter. Gonna have to get a second hand. Thanks.
Truck starts no problem, voltage climbs into the red.
After about 40 seconds it drops immediately to the green.
Couldn't find anything in the TM. PMS Mag refers you to higher level maint.

The HMMWV was geared for the Army standard convoy speed of 40 MPH. That is why an original M988A1 is like glass at 40. Any faster and it just feels uncomfortable with all the gear noise and vibration.

The odometer reading means nothing. They get swapped out and changed when they break all the time. Mine had an installed date and milage when replaced in sharpy on the backside. So, my 12k mile hummer actually had 22k on it when the speedo was swapped out. Unless it came from a cave in Norway...
MaterCraft seats I installed on my M988. The rear seats bolted to 3/4" spacers directly to the rear seat boards were made out of round bar aluminum stock. I couldn't have designed them any better, they flip up and you can still access the storage underneath.
