Streaks are surfactants in the paint coming out. A wash or couple of rains would clear it. Normally the wood would soak that up, but the surfaces we are putting it on are non porous.
You can sound deaden any vehicle, with enough time money and energy. But you need to do it right. Bedliner is not a sound deadener. It may help /w some rattles and lower the resonant frequency of the panel, but that's not going to remove the sound. You have to convert that sound energy...
Not sure I understand why you have such a problem w/ the belt rubbing. These 6.2s were pretty widely used, and haven't really heard of this problem elsewhere. Was a bracket changed out on this such that the belt alignment is screwy?
