Cushman Airborne Scooter comes home with me!

Years ago I had an all original paint Cushman Airborne scooter. At a show I had a bad sandwich and too much heat. I was delirious. A nice father and son team talked me into selling it, and I always missed it. I just found another! Of course this one needs some help. Somebody decided to remove...

    Finally got an M38

Checking out the steering parts....the bell crank assembly is really loose! Tye rod ends seem nice. So I will be tackling the bell crank repair as soon as I get the parts in. Are NOS better than modern made replacements? Seems odd to ask...... I would think NOS was made to better tolerances...

Need pickup truck hauled from Harrisburg PA to Canton, CT around 4-30 to 5-9

I may need to have a pickup tuck hauled from Harrisburg, PA to Canton, CT 06019 with pickup between 4-30-2013 to 5-9-2013. Normally I would be picking it up myself, but a required surgery has put the kybosh on that. Can anyone recommend a reliable shipper? Thanks for any help. H. Get that...

M38 and M38A1 wiring harness interchange?

Thanks very much for the information Bill! I sure do want to see this old soldier back on the road (with me riding in it)! My dad saw a hard part of Korea, and always had a fondness for the Jeeps.......and the helicopters after he had to take a ride in one (never said much about why). H.

M38 and M38A1 wiring harness interchange?

I am looking at my old worn wiring on my M38, and I feel it needs to be replaced. Can I use a Greek or NOS M38A1 lighting harness, and engine compartment harness in place of the M38 harness (without major modification)? I have researched the forum using all kinds of search terms, but haven't...

    Finally got an M38

Been dealing with some health issues, but looking to the future. I have been looking at the wiring in the Jeep, it's pretty dry and I think a safety issue. Can I use a Greek or US M38A1 lighting harness or engine compartment harness in it without major modifications? My three way light switch...

    Tailgate restoration

Thanks for the pictures, it gives me a good idea of what to do. I'll try heating a pipe and pressing it with the arbor press to get the flat sides. H.

    Tailgate restoration

Thanks, it would be a big help. Not too many old Dodges around here to look at.

    Tailgate restoration

I picked up a bunch of parts for my M882 this weekend... power steering box and pump, tailgate, radiator, 16" rims, some other stuff. Came home happy till I discovered that the fire department cut off the lugs that the tailgate goes on, and the lugs for the tailgate straps. Would anyone have...

    Dual battery setup?

My M882 has a nice big second battery tray. I'd like to have the ability to operate an electric winch on a trailer, and a dual battery setup seems like a good idea to me. There are brackets on the engine for a second alternator that is no longer there. Could I charge both batteries off of the...

    My new M882 fire truck

It has sheet metal clips on the inside of the bed. I'll look closer to see if anything indicates antenna mounts were on the outside once, and removed.

    My new M882 fire truck

Unfortunately they took the winch out before they auctioned it. The data plate on the dash lists it as an M882. Maybe the front sits lower due to the weight of that monster bumper?

    My new M882 fire truck

Question...are those triangular brackets welded to the rear of the bed original military, or are they something the FD added? They look smaller than the shelter hold-downs. H.

    My new M882 fire truck

Well, I out-bid myself....went over my limit.....and now I have a new old truck. Recovery with a come-along is getting old. When I got there, i jumped it, and it actually started! Sounds like a lifter or two ticking. Then it quit and wouldn't stay running when started. The fuel coming out of the...
