Has anyone built an electric or manual throttle lock?

I have the Hmmwv throttle control mounted in my M1031. It connects to the accelerator pedal and pulls the factory throttle cable.

    getting discouraged with the CUCV

Check the vacumn pump. There are several holes on the front of the pod that can leak oil if its bad. The oil drains down to the intake valley and exits via a drain hole into the bellhousing area. It runs down the back of the block and out the inspection cover drain hole. You will swear its the...

    85 M1009 on door weatherstriping

I have only seen those seals on blazers. I have no idea why they were added. I had an 84 M1009 and it didnt have them. The 86 I have does. They would work on any of the trucks as the doors and openings are the same.

transmission and transfer case torque arms

All the civillian trucks had those braces from the factory. For some reason GM didn't put them on the CUCVs. Probably cut 2 bucks off the contract price. You need the transfer case brace. Any one from an auto trans/208 setup will work. There are also 2 braces that run from the bottom of the...

    Good tire question

My buddy bought a 1987 M1028 from GL. It had 2400 original miles on it. The tires were very dryrotted Firestones with 87 date codes on them.

    TH400/NP205 adapter

Short answer the 205 has a cast iron case and the 208 is an aluminum case. Most likely cracked when GL picked the truck up with a forklift. Only the M1031 and certain M1028s had the 205. All others had the 208.

Get the 2 wiring harnesses for the windows and locks. They are seperate from the regular dash harness. Then its just plug and play. Yes you will need a relay. The factory relay is mounted on the side of the brake pedal bracket. I added power windows and locks to my 1031. Took all the parts...

    Who has ordered from LMC

Most of the seals are still available from Chevy. Get the part numbers from the TMs and order from your favorite online discounter. They may cost a little more, but they will outlast any of the aftermarket seals.

James Bond 007 smoke screen set up Project?

It's referring to hotrods that shoot flames from the exhaust. Usually using a sparkplug installed in the tail pipe and an over rich mixture.:-D I bet my 69 Chevelle would shoot flames 20 feet. :driver:Of course I imagine real ones are illegal too. Come to think of it everything is illegal...

James Bond 007 smoke screen set up Project?

Just to clear the air. You might want to check your local and state laws before putting it on a street driven vehicle. Here in Virginia it is a felony to install, help install, or possess a street driven vehicle that has a smoke screen or flame throwers.

    What are these?

The blue wire is used on the M1010 for the box heater and with the arctic heater kits.

My system was made by Peak. I got it at Sams Club about 2 years ago. It came with a 7" inch screen and I only paid $69.
