So I’ve had my m101 for close to 9 years now and need to do some work to it. I was wondering if anyone had ever used adapters to mount a metric pattern wheel to these trailers? I was wanting to put a set of 8x170 steel wheels on it to match my truck. I know the Chevy bolt pattern is better but...
I was looking for a new cover for my M101A3 and I haven't been able to find any reasonably priced. I have been able to locate a couple of troop covers for the pickup model Humvees. I was wondering what would have to be done to make this cover work and if anyone has tried this workaround before?
Yeah, I've lost count of the number of 3 in 1 shelters I had to help set up when I was active duty but I never once saw one that set up like that with power everything. Of course things could have changed since I got out.
They aren't strict at all as long as you have a title or as they said the military title they just don't like to work around paperwork. There was a problem for a while with guys stealing old cars and trucks that were sitting on peoples property and registering them and then selling them so...
Because in WV the DMV is OCD about having plates and titles. They don't even like to title trailers as homebuilt any more and want you to have receipts for where you got the materials to make it. I talked to the DMV about it and I have to have a "military title" in their words before I'm...
Does anyone know the proper setup for VIN numbers on these trailers. My Data Plate is pretty bad and it appears to be a 4 digit number then USMC and then the 6 digit trailer number that's stenciled on the trailer. I just wanted to check and see if anyone knew for sure before I put in for the...
I looked in the TM and only remember seeing the diagrams for the m116a2e1 trailer if I remember right and the M101a2. I don't know if I missed the A3 plates or not. I'll go back again and take a look. Thanks, notagain those should work for what I need.
The whole tire is like that. It's pretty far gone, I honestly wouldn't worry to much about it if I was just pulling it for firewood and it never went above 5 or 10mph but for anything that's going onto the road it definitely needs replaced. The trick is finding the tire for a reasonable price...
If you can I would appreciate a picture of it as well. I've been looking for a good picture of either a m116a3 data plate or an M101a3 data plate. A Kasel would be great but any of them would be great.
Thanks guys. Does anyone know a good source for the data plates for the 101a3s? I can find the ones for the A1s and the A2s but not the A3s. Also has anyone dealt with trailworthyfab.com? They've got the 37 in humvee tires for 99 apiece and I was curious if anyone knew anything about them...
First off I would like to say thanks to Maddawg for going and picking up this trailer from Portsmouth. It pulled pretty good all the way from his place in VA all the way to WV. The only problem it had was a couple issues with it hopping if I had to stop suddenly. It came with the top and bows...
