M35A2-AZ you sir are correct, no low range in reverse, there is even a warning placard mounted on the dash of the M939 series of trucks, stating do not use reverse while the transfer case is in low range.

You need to read the TM's about post fording maintenance, they have lots of maintenance items you need to attend to after driving through water as deep as you have gone through.

Thanks Tow4, i took your advice and took it apart on the truck. I cleaned and polished all the brass parts, replaced the 3 O rings, lubed all O rings and bore with Parker O ring lube, reassembled it, it now works great. Oh one more thing, some of the photos i have seen of other actuators taken...

Lonnie, if you look at the photos in post #18 in this thread, you will see that i did add the jack screw adjustment just like you ask about.

UPDATE: Well i just got back from a 100 mile test drive and so far the idler is working great. Now time and miles will be the real proof if this pulley is a help or not, but i do have to say i did notice a difference today. Today out side temps were right around 80, i took the truck for a drive...

The best advice is go look at the truck you want to bid on, and if you can't do that then have a S.S. member who lives close by go look at it for you. Doing it this way will give you some piece of mind before you bid.
