    I Need a Voltmeter Gauge for a CUCV M1009 1985

Did the resistor fix from Mouser. Worked perfectly. I bought 15 resistors since they were so cheap. Anybody need one? PM me.

M1031 Maintenance Contact Truck just acquired

I went with a 4" lift from ORD on my 1028. Rear shackle flip , and got old Chevy 16.5 rims from a yard. Put used 16.5 military Humvee tires on them. looks great , but lots of work. And hard to find 16.5s now days. I'd keep the 16" rims and go with the Cooper SSTs . Nice truck you bought. Looks...

    M1028A3 Front Bumper w/ Winch

Is your wrecker built by you , or was it DRMO'd that way? Cool variation that I've never seen on GL or GovPL.

    M1028A3 Front Bumper w/ Winch

Looks great James! Very solid, but not too large for the truck. Should be great for a work truck. You're wife is right. The brush guard IS the CUCV.

    M101A2 bearings quite warm

I've loaded mine with 1 1/2 T many times and the bearings get warmer but not too hot to touch. Did you grease them thoroughly? I've always greased bearings by hand, but bought a pressure cup style grease kit. You know they are saturated after using. There is a TM available on line, and here on...

M101A3 trailer, 5,000 lbs loaded. how much has anyone put on the trailler

I've hauled 45 - 80lb. sacks of ready mix in my M101a2 with lumber on top on a horrible dirt road ,no problem. They are awesome trailers for sure . Wish I had an a3 so a sheet of plywood would fit on the bed. I think I'll widen the wheel wells.

    Trailer to haul a M1008

Block off plates are used to cover the axle tubes in the differential housing so no oil leaks out. Some people use cut axle stubs or make steel plate the same dimensions and bolt hole placement as the axles.

ORD Shackle Flip and Stock Spring vs 4" Tuff Country EZ Ride HDs

Shackle flip with stock springs , reposition right side shock mount ( cut and reweld). Works great. Easy if you've got the tools.

    Lifting a M1031

Agree on the shackle flip. Sweet rig. What rear disc conversion are you planning on using? I used the El Dorado Caddy setup from TSM. Happy with it and the e-brake works well. Search my posts for pics and more info .

    Foot vent rain water leaks

Inherent in the design. My 1028 does it also. I suspect a rust spot somewhere in the cowl.

Making the drive from Los Angeles to Anchorage, Any suggestions on stuff to bring?

I'm north of S.F. in San Anselmo , Marin Couny. Anything you need PM . I'd say FULL TOOL KIT. Oil, filter , spare fuel, raidiator, hoses / line, anti freeze, tire plug/patch kit, compressor, fuses, fuel filter, bulbs, ....... My fuel solenoid was problematic. My 1028 AFTER fine tuning has been...
