I'ddouble check that alternator before jumping at a replacement. theynormally need the cluster indicator lights to energize. You can take a jumper wire from the pos battery post(12 volt) and momentarily touch the brown wire in the alt connector to energize the system to check voltage.
I just had to lay one of my 1008s to rest because the IP drive shaft seal crapped .but that being said I've sometimes drove off on a completely cold motor, sometimes it's idled for hours in cold weather wile I've b een enjoying some adult beverages at the local bar. It has consumed all sorts of...

Used as intended by the designers, a "gov lok"can live a long time. The key is to avoid rapid acceleration with only one wheel on firm traction. The "gov" part of thediff needs a rotation or two to do its thing. The first sign of real trouble is when the wheels won't unlock in a turn on pavement...

Veggie oil is a great cleaner/degreaser. (ever look at your grimey fingers after eating an order of fries?) point is expect a couple of filter changes after your first batch.
An injector with low "cracking presure"will create a low rpm knock that goes away with higher rpms and fuel demand. At idle loosen each fuel line one at a time . if the knock goes away you have found the culprit.
