Timing? Interesting on the milage drop.Perhaps the higher cetane count of bio would allow more advance over dino.maybe this would get some milage back. I believe the cold advance switch pushes the timing ahead about 3 degrees? is that right? maybe the cold advance switch could be manually...

    dash cover... it's thin vinel,with adhesive.all the adhesive is,is ordinary silicon.same as you'd put around your bathtub.The overall fit was quite good...it's a cover,but at a glance ,and if you don't know it's there,you can't tell. I don't think new dash pads are made aftermarket,but i'm not...

dash cover... the dash cover was purchased locally from AMP parts,a company (small) whos speciality is parts for gmc trucks and cars. The cover is identical to the one sold by LMC truck parts in the U.S. I don't know precisely were it's made...but in todays economy i'd assume someplace...

    Stump 1, Deuce 0

oops... If you really want that tree gone...attach your cable/chain/whatever about 5 feet of the ground, and trim a couple of the branching roots of the back side first. Then pull. You bassically started your pull from the trees (with a trunk like that it stopped being a bush years ago)stongest...

I don't like it either... I hear you on the fender trimming...if i wasn't reluctant to cut a perfectly good fender it would be done by now. So...i'll wait till the lift is on,then decide how much tire it can take, and go from there. If i do trim,it's not going to be a hack job...the fenders will...

    Salvage yard in the Netherlands

neat stuff... Those little tracked trailers are often used up here in canada for pipe laying in boggy ground, often towed behind catterpillers. Believe it or not ,the slang term for them is "jeep"...don't know why. They come in various sizes...those are small ones.

bypass filter... I installed a bypass filter where the old DUVAC used to be...it's tapped into the oil sampling fitting and dumps into the drivers side valve cover.Still room to get my hands in to change the filter, and enough room around to get good airflow...it gets hot!

The back end... The box has become a repository for stray tools and stuff until i get my garage done...The heater still works like new,but the clutch on the air conditioner pump has quit for some reason.Just as summer starts of course...

Interior... Here's a shot of the interior work. The floor vinel still looks a little lumpy at this stage due to the extra sound deadening material. It changed the shape of the floor slightly, thus changing the fit of the vinel kit. Those of you who are debating a dash cover...go ahead. It's a super...

condition... The truck was purchased from a local liquidator, who purchased it from a canadian government auchion last year.Overall, the condition is very good.At first i looked hard for rust and could find none at all.after getting it home i managed to find corrosion in the usual spots...The...

low km's... It's called the "before" shot 'cause the lift is on order.A little fender trim in a choice spot should allow 37" tires to fit reasonably well...This will help cut my rpm's a little. An aux overdrive is being considered also. As for km's...

    Water as a fuel

hydrogen... hydrogen injection and use in vehicles has been around for years, especially in europe. It has particular relevance for those of us with diesels. It's stupid expensive though. http://chechfi.ca/tehisyst.htm

My new 55 Mack 5 Ton 427 BBC powered BEAST !!

nice engine... The photos are not terribly clear, but i assume that someone swapped in a later model commercial 427.Personnaly i wouldn't put a blower on it.If your going to rebuild it,the commercial block is cool for several reasons...don't listen to hot rod guys who might say the commercial is...

    MY NEW 7K M1028 & 2 Problems..

excellent! Thanks for the update.Am pleased it worked as well for you as it did for me.By the way,I'm reading the same voltage regardless of 12-vlt load. return lines I suspect that we'd have to change the injector return lines and fuel return lines off the IP as well.does anyone know how to identify the stainless or "hardened" IP's? they were supposedly installed to allow continued use with Jet-A etcetera. These probably would have the upgraded...
