I always thought this was the same for IL with one exception; if the vehicle is a motorhome. Put a heater and a generator in it and a box on the back and a few other things and you are officially a motorhome - exempt from CDL.
Getting to the point I am going to do some powder coating of parts for the MAN truck. Under the CARC and in the interior is a darker green base coat. I think this is RAL 6014, but am not sure. Can any of the German members tell me if this is the correct RAL for German made military trucks...

If that is a P15 the top speed should be somewhere around 50 mph. Those tires are rated to 55 mph. They would not be road legal without special permit as they are 10' wide.

Couldn't you just use a step down transformer with the slave plug on one end and a jumper end on the down side? The current would be higher on the 12v side - not sure what this would do to a battery???
Depends on your state. It is not always true that you haver to have a CDL if you are over a certain weight or if the truck has air brakes. You will need to research that issue in the state you live. For example many states have a specific definition for a motorhome that can be used as a basis...
