Free M37's
Devilman, they're still here, but you have to come and get them. And that offer was only for Devilman in reference to saving the R2. Not a general free offer, but they are for sale.
Lane had me going when he suggested chopping it into a swamp buggy! I just thought he'd lost his mind entirely. I was almost ready to go steal ARGYLE and offer HIM up for trade!
Nothing you haven't seen, Lane. Still got the two parts trucks left out of that 4 truck deal. Need to take a few parts of the one, but the other has a good frame as far as I know. Heck, you've got more parts trucks in better shape than I have.
I've got a couple of parts M37s I'll GIVE you if you don't cut that up! No trade, just promise you'll restore that as a crash truck or sell it to someone who will.
If you ever find one with the windows AND DOUBLE back doors, it is one of the first 5 pilot models. Note the double doors visible through the side windows in the archive photo posted by Maddawg. Hndrsnj's photo shows only one rear door and the distinctive Canadian camouflage on the door.

According to John Zentmyer's research: (TM9-1840C, IPC Research Department Technical Manual, "The Production Story, 1949-1968, published in July 1987)
"The only configuration that was produced in quantity was a later version procured by the Air Force. This...

Back in the 60's, Aurora Model Company made many kits of armor and tracked vehicles. I kept the cover of the instruction sheet, even though the model itself got busted. It's 1/48 scale didn't fit in with the 1/35 scale I was getting from other companies, so it hasn't been...
The M880 I drive for our Museum does the same thing-usually when the turn signal adds draw on the system for too long, like exiting the freeway or waiting at a light. I've been told the breaker in question is up behind the dash and next to impossible to get to. All the other breakers have been...
Different Breed of truck
The M939 series of truck is considered a tactical vehicle, and really is better at lower speeds and going through the woods.
The M915 series (A1 [CCC], A2 & A3 [FREIGHTLINER]) is a slightly modified (painted) OTR tractor, and performs as such.
The M916-M920 series...
STock M923A2 will run 65 all day, :) just watch for the cramp just above the knee because of the pedal position. It probably will, over time, leave the tranny a lot worse for wear, but my LT SWORE to me that the "overspeed" light flashing on the dash "meant nothing". Also, please, do NOT EVER...
RE: .05
Pretty sure he's just trying to communicate with someone sitting in the driver's seat of the ASV. Judging by the uniform, he may be the interpreter.
Air force
When I was active duty Army National Guard at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center (Air Force), kept seeing the security police and others doing 4 wheeler training. They'd run around in a squad and hit the little wilderness patch behind the main base. I'll see if anyone over...
So it's got the "step" at the rear where the body doesn't go all the way to the back? and no back door, right?
In the pic at the restaurant, looks like you're waiting for VALET PARKING! Wouldn't that be a hoot!
What's the major difference between the M4A1 and the M3 series halftracks?
The blue ribbon on the 50 cal barrel reminds me of the Scot with his kilt "Aye, laddy, I don't know where you've been, but I see you've won first prize!"
Have fun, Bill. And to all the guys that are helping on this recovery, thanks! It shows how great a community we have here and in the MV hobby in general.
How many of these new trucks are coming up for the trail ride?
