The advantage of the June dates re: Aberdeen is that everyone can bring all the goodies they bought at that show to play with. And/or they're not worried about making final prep for the show, they can bring leftovers that didn't sell, they used the Aberdeen show to make final prep for the rally...
The list of tools the operator should have available as Basic Issue Items and Additional Authorized Items (BII and AAI) are listed in the appendix of the -10 manual. That won't get you what you really need for doing anything more than tightening screws, though.
For a real set, you'll probably...
You guys are right on the tubing size, etc. I stand corrected on that.
I'm curious about the connection to the frame as opposed to the floor of the cab. Wouldn't the cab plus roll cage create a cocoon/bubble effect and keep the occupants safe? Or would breaking away from the frame make it...
Dave in Tenn--
A few years back, there was a 'Mog in one of the 4 wheel magazine tough truck challenge contests. They wrote about him turning around on a hill that scared the crap out of the watchers, but that he did not have any real stability concerns. I'm sure a local muffler shop could...
Dave, you never get OUT OF questionable situations, for a sane person. But for you it's normal, so just hang on and ride it out. If anyone would dump one it'd be you or Josh.
They put ROPS on the M151 series because they had a history of roll-over problems. I haven't heard of anyone rolling anything else. I suppose a bob would have more of an inclination to roll, but unless you're turning at a wrong angle on too steep a hill, and/or have a high load, the stock...
The support Battalion would be abbreviated "CSB", and the "16GP" might be omitted, depending on whether the "77MT" is with the owning unit ID (on the left when you read it) or the line of march (on the right when reading it)
In my Engineer unit, 1438th Engineer Detachment, the unit number was...
CCATLETT said his flag was on the wrong side of the HUMVEE, that it should be on the driver's side. The flag code states it should be "firmly fixed to the chassis or clamped to the right bumper."
BTW. Your US Flag is on the correct side of the truck, but should be on the leading right corner, not the back. The colors should always be presented at ITS OWN RIGHT in the direction of travel. Never to the left. The right is the position of respect
My guess on the tree thing is a charitable distribution, community support thing. Or maybe the Family Support Group is going to sell them to raise funds for Family needs.
I would like to see a documented side by side test of the M809 series, M939 series and FMTV series 5 tons. Not just at...
Most of the recruiters don't change the ride dynamics, though. Just fancy paint or graphic overlay that can come back off and the truck returned to service standards. Dropping the front end and channeling the whole thing is a little more drastic than that.
The "ting" was the clip ejecting. :D If eight from the M1 don't do it, pull out the M1911 to rip the limbs off one by one. WAIT! That was me he was shootin' at, just 'cause I made a joke about ARGYLE! Now I hope the barrel's plugged!

Jay---sorry, no. The WC is not a photo shop. That truck was for sale on e-bay some time ago.
Here are some options for inspiration. The "Mighty Machines" series was available at WallyWorld a couple years ago.
