Does the M101A2 use the 6,000 or 7,000 lb lunnette?
Also, you said the surge actuator was made by balcrank, but these links suggest Mendenhall Industries. So which is it?

Something I noticed: even though these trailers are rated for around 3590 lbs, the axles seem to be much heavier than that. Are these closer to a 7000 lb axle? The Dexter backing plate listed in the other thread seemed to indicate that...

Yeah, I noticed that several of the parts have "Dexter" cast into them. Good to know. Are any of the surge brake parts (master cylinder, etc.) available through Dexter?

Thanks for the tip. That thread has some links in it that I ought to be able to use. I might just buy the whole brake backing plate Assembly listed on etrailers.com

So once I've found the manufacturer, then what? Contact them and get a part number? Is that the same number listed in the TM? Will an auto parts store be able to look that number up?
By the way, I have already looked up the NSN and mfr PN for the parts, just not sure how to cross reference...
I've got some springs, and adjusting screw, and other miscellaneous brake parts I need to replace on my M101A2 axle. Does anyone know If these trailers had some of these parts in common with the M1008? Since the M1008 was essentially just a Chevy 3/4 ton truck, I'm hoping that some of these...
I have a couple of studs that need to be replaced on my M101A2 axle. The technical manual TM 9-2330-202-14&P calls this out:
ITEM SMR CODE NSN CAGEC PART NUMBER DESCRIPTION QTY

If I had to guess, I'd say the round head pins go to you front rack piece. I think that's what I have on mine. I'll try to get a picture and post it later.

I'm going to go to a place like IFA to get the tires off the lock ring wheels anyway ( they have a safety cage for lock ring wheels), so I could have them mount the tubed tires on the new tubeless wheels at the same time.

My goal is to be able to use the spare tire from my tow vehicle, so I don't have to carry a separate one in the trailer. My tow vehicle is a 2000 Dodge Cummins. It has eight 9/16" studs on a 6.5" Bolt circle.
So as long as my truck's spare tire fits on the trailer, I should be okay, right...
Thanks Tim. I'll have a look around local first. If I can't find anything I'll contact you. Thanks again for selling me the A2 axle.

So I could take the NDT tires off the old lock ring wheels and put them on a modern tubeless tire wheel? Thanks for the input.
