Decided to remove the bed to make it a little easier to access the parking break etc. And to pressure wash it so I'm not getting so much cr@p falling in my face... Noticed an interesting difference... the donor has a different mounting than the one I'm replacing... Will actually do the...

Great thanks for your input. New nuts and bolts is always a good idea (thanks for the reminder) specially for those hard to reach places! ;-) Thought about taking the bed off... would this make the job any easier, or be more trouble than it's worth? I'm getting started on this tonight...

    Transfer Case removal/replacing

Who would have that hardware readily available? I presume you mean the short shaft and u-joints. Also, when you say chain fall, you mean lowering it down instead of using the transmission jack?

    Truck needs saved!

I'm waiting for a reply from Gordon. If the motor's not stuck and he doesnt want an arm and a leg for it, it's worth saving and returning to "green"

Mystery bottle under dash on firewall

Yes, they are "supposed" to be clear. What we have here is called "Filth" :P As I thought. One of my brothers Deuce's has one in the cab like that as well. I guess it's up to the dude in the shop to put it where he "feels" like putting it... :?: Now you just need to get the rest of the "kit"!

Anyone had any positive outcome from GL after a complaint?

So, not trying to sound like a moron, but if your info is right, if we want to get something from GL, we had better get it sooner rather than later because it's only going to get worse for us? I'm just going on the basis my dad taught me that any information is helpful because even the worst...

Mystery bottle under dash on firewall

What you describe sounds like what my brother has on his deuce. The difference being he has all of the windshield washer system intact. Though in my humble opinion, with the military wipers, it's a joke.
