The tranny that i use in my sled pulling trucks uses a 4x4 hd case all the internals from a th475 which was used in motorhomes - it has straight cut gears in it - the th 475 only used a 2x4 case but most of the time had a large parking brake mounted on the tailshaft

For oil cooler i have a oem factory unit out of a 1986 suburban - it mounts in front of the radiator and is a bolt on unit - no holes to drill. I also kept the m1028 fuel tank as it has a very large filler neck makes filling up with gas very fast and easy

was this design used on a 1987 454 with tbi ? I have a 1988 and a 1989 454 with tbi and the intake will not except a carb.

yes it does take a special bolt - look on ebay under np205
